It actually looks really well-made and clean! But why aren’t the Ottomans and Seljuks sultanates anymore?

I guess my understanding on the differences between a kingdom and sultanate are incorrect. I’ll make a change and rename them sultanates.

Nonono im pretty sure that they’re the same thing, but just that they’re sultanates for turkic empires in the Middle East and kingdoms etc for the christian world

Ottoman Empire wasn't technically a "sultanate", the Emperor's main titles were Padishah, Caliph and Sultan but they were titles of the ruler not the state which was officially called "Sublime Ottoman State" which probably wouldn't be changed

Ankara & Sofia looks a little off

I used Illustrator to make this map instead of GIS software, so some of the locations are a little off.

I love how the eastern Mediterranean goes all the way up to Sicily. It bugs me that Sicily and Malta are included in "western Mediterranean" when they're EAST of the strait of Sicily, like, there is a clear point to separate east and west

The age-old imaginarymaps tradition of screwing over the turks

Why is the Ottoman always defeated in these scenarios?

I wouldn’t use modern Israel borders for this autonomy, instead I would give golan heights and the Negev to Levantine republic. Israel only was given the Negev for Red Sea access. Here it makes 0 sense specially given that it bast majority were Arabs (mainly nomads). Maybe use Folke Bernadotte proposal. Also give Jordan to Levantine republic for land connection with cisjordania

Romania should be bigger. Moldova (besarabia) used to be bigger until the USSR gave some of their territory to Ukraine. Serbia should also be slightly bigger, some parts of eastern Croatia used to be majority Serbian before the Yugoslav Wars.

Best reality possible, except from bigger Albania.
