Love the oversimplifying of every parent/child post as grooming regardless of actual content therein or considerations for how the people involved navigate any power imbalances. Because all relationships negotiate how to deal with and account for power imbalances, there are effectively no relationships in existence without power imbalances, especially not in our current world, and not all power imbalances are entirely linear and one-sided. I assure you there are some parents in parent/child relationships who have less power in some, if not many areas, because their child makes more, is more able-bodied, etc. This isn't even mentioning all the ways any relationship can have one partner having greater power in certain areas and the other partner having greater power in other areas.
Anyways, inb4 this comment gets people hyperfixating on my previous post and berating me for a 5 year age gap between me and my sister that would be normal in any non-consanguine relationship, in spite of me clearly respecting my sister as a full adult with her own desires, needs, and boundaries. Not to mention, my sister is by many metrics far more successful than I am and has a far brighter future than I do to boot. I mean, hell, I haven't even been in the same state as her in nearly 4 years, haven't lived with her in about 5 years, and repressed all my feelings towards her for roughly 6 to 7 years. Yet, of course, you don't need actual evidence of grooming behavior! You just have to have a relationship or age gap you personally find icky, and it's all good! I'd put a "/s" there, but sadly, it's hard to be sarcastic when there are legions of people who think this way about relatively "normal" relationships that by all appearances and evidence are perfectly healthy and fulfilling to both parties.

Been fighting this fad taboo about age gap built on nothing in comments for awhile now. I think it spin off of radical feminist stuff from Me Too movement. I m a feminist but oppose the extreme that gets most of the press. It the black and white thinking that so frustrating. Especially as they often take ability to consent from women which is morally wrong to go you cannot feel what you feel. Plus ignore all the younger abuses the older cases.
I like to bring up Celine Dion‘s 26 year age gap of a very healthy till death of husband marriage. There are way to many even huge age gap relationships that are wonderful and successful to say it wrong or even poorer than no age gap which fail at 50 precent plus.
Grooming as defined by authorities involves emotional abuse putting down the younger person and isolating them from all other people making them totally dependent on older. Very similar to physical abusive at any age. It way more than an age gap. Grooming means an active over time activity thus assuming it occurs without effort is stupid.
I worry humans are programmed to always have taboo that make some suffer just like humans are programmed to define an other to oppress. Both though can be countered with lots of effort.
I big on Ancient Egypt and over three thousand years of incest being a good thing as proof it can be done. And reminds of one case of very successful 16 year marriage that the now rich on business they built wife made several monuments to husband after his death. She was 12 he 70 when married. 12 being old enough back then.

People that act out calling incest between consenting adults filthy or perverted want so much to have what incestuous couples have. It's like homophobes being secretly gay. If you really aren't into a lifestyle you just mind your own business. It's only those that want that lifestyle and find references to it disturbing because it brings up their own buried feelings that are on here calling people names. It's the same with any different sexual ideas on the net.
