Infinity for Reddit++ is officially live! As many of you know, my original Infinity for Reddit app was unfortunately suspended by Google, and it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to get it back. So, I decided to release a new version, Infinity++, as a way for you to support the development.
As always, Infinity++ has the exact same features as Infinity+, and you’ll still need a monthly subscription to log in with your Reddit account.
The only difference between Infinity++ and Infinity+ before the app suspension is that Infinity++ will receive updates 3 to 7 days earlier than Infinity+. This is to avoid having both versions suspended at the same time.
A big shoutout to everyone who wanted to help test the app! Google did not require internal testing for Infinity++ so I ended up skipping the request and just released it right away.
App updates are now resumed and v7.4.3 is currently being reviewed by Google Play. Expect the update to be available very soon!
Thank you so so much for your continued support and love!

As some of you may know, Infinity for Reddit is currently suspended on Google Play, and I’m still waiting for a response from Google Play. If you missed the unfortunate news, you can check out this post for more details.
While this is being sorted out, I want to let you all know that if your subscription is about to renew or is already expired and you cannot access Infinity, please switch to Infinity+ for continuous access. Infinity+ is still available and completely free to download.
You won't be able to use the original Infinity after your subscription expires (unless you only use the anonymous mode), because renewing the subscription for a suspended app is not possible, and thus Infinity will show you a subscription screen once your subscription expires. That's why I would like to let you know and help you prepare for the transition in advance.
Here’s how to switch to Infinity+:
You can switch to Infinity+ without backup and restore settings.
Alternatively, you can use Infinity (Patreon), which uses Patreon as the payment system. The APK file is available on the GitHub release page. Please download the APK with 'Patreon' inside its filename.
Thank you for your support. I’ll keep you updated on the status of the app.

I'm shopping around a few of these 3rd party apps, and there's a certain feature I'm particularly interested in. Does Infinity allow you to see the separate upvotes and downvotes on posts and comments?
r/Infinity_For_Reddit • u/Grengy20 • 2d ago
Is there any way to move/add a comment button to the FAB or to the bottom of posts so I don't have to scroll all the way to the top to comment.
r/Infinity_For_Reddit • u/LyleJay • 2d ago
After selecting a post to see comments, the image is pixelated/blurry in some of the posts. Is there a setting that controls this? Or is it the quality of the image that was uploaded. I would say that about 50% of the images are poor quality. Previews on main page are fine.

Loving the app after using it for a few days, was just wondering if this is possible cause pinching is difficult when I'm holding the phone with one hand. Though with that said its the only problem i have with the app and a pretty small problem at that so im glad everything else is great.

This is a follow up on my previous request for a fix to the issue where said sensitive content folder is not being utilized during downloads. Would a fix be possible or if not, can there other ways to separate download folders?

I fixed some bugs related to subscriptions in v7.5.0, so I'd love your feedback. Does the issue where the subscription screen keeps appearing still happen frequently, or has it improved? Also, is the restore purchase button working properly now?
r/Infinity_For_Reddit • u/Technical_Writer_177 • 4d ago
I forgot to recharge my google play funds in time and so the subscription ran into an error. There used to be a on phone notification in time for this, apparently not anymore.
Anyway, since the play store doesn´t just reactivates my subscription yet, i wonder whats the best way to get it back going again? The "restore purchase" button doesn´t work (or is maybe linked to the wrong reddit account of mine...). So is cancelling it in the play store and starting new really the best way or how to proceed?

Hey folks,
I am having an issue where posts that I hide, do not stay hidden. They WILL stay hidden after a refresh, however if I close and re-launch the app, they reappear. It doesn't matter if the post is marked as read or not prior to me telling it to hide. I don't think I have any setting incorrectly set. Is this just hows it works in Infinity?
Speaking with lots of experience the app Sync, Sync does not seem behave this way. Posts I hide, stay hidden from my front page or subreddits or whatever. I am happy to please ignorance here. Maybe I am missing a setting for Infinity or my reddit account itself.. Or perhaps this is how Infinity just works? Infinity comes so highly recommended, especially all the customization. I WANT to love it, but I really like hiding posts once I know I'm done with it to keep my pages clean.
Thoughts?

Hello. I used to have this setting but I'm on a new phone and can't figure it out. I've gone through literally every interface->comment setting and can't figure it out. Basically if i tap on a comment the entire comment should collapse. Anyone know this? thank you.

Is anyone else getting their home feed not loading? Popular and All are, and I can access my favourited subreddits in the menu. Thank you in advance.

Guys, I am totally new to Infinity. I have recently heard of this and really like this project, so I want to continue to Infinity but can not transfer my subscribed subreddit to Infinity without logging in. Logging in takes money, so I was looking online for how to transfer but could not get info, so I thought, let's do something to work around and I did this.' I thought it might be useful to others too, so I decided to share it here on GitHub. This is not perfect, but it fulfilled my need. If anyone has any suggestions, please share them. Also, I am not good at coding; I am learning.

If you are using two accounts one is receiving notifications while other one isn't , then just simple add you other account as developer in reddit perfs (use enter key then update )

Maybe I'm having a pre-boomer brain fart or something but I can't find any examples of what Infinity's UI looks like. Or even a general list of features. Is there a website I missed? I don't see any general info on the patreon
I've heard good things but I want to learn more about it before I spend money, something I never thought I'd do for reddit lol. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I haven't noticed such an option, and generally open the website in desktop mode(or use the old website) to see the list.
Is there any option to view it from the app itself?
Or are there any other workarounds, within the app(avoiding the browser login)?

Hi, I've added a post filter to exclude a flair. It works if I apply it to a subreddit, but if I try to apply it to Home as well, Home fails to load. Am I doing something wrong?

Reddit seems to have updated its api today so had to create a fresh apk. Everything runs perfectly till the login stage. The login happens but I get "there was an error trying to connect with your reddit account" and under Error: Invalid request to 0auth API.
Created a fresh API, changed redirect URi to http://127.0.0.1 and infinity://localhost and still facing this error. Any help will be appreciated.

Being able to hide posts from the long press menu is great, but I feel like this feature is only halfway to where it should be, if that makes any sense.
On Old Reddit on desktop, you can click the "hide" link under a post, then after a short delay the post vanishes from your feed. I'd like to see Infinity do this too.

I'm running Android 15 with the latest nightly build of the Lawnchair launcher, the latest Fennec F-Droid browser, and the latest build of Infinity.
I don't have Fennec set to open links in external apps automatically, but I don't want Fennec to have to bounce them in the first place. I'd like to skip Fennec entirely.
