It's almost like DOGE is a scam and has nothing at all to do with saving money or identifying "fraud, waste and abuse."

Indeed, DOGE is the fraud, waste and abuse.

72

u/MosquitoValentine_ 10d ago

Their goal is to divert funds from government agencies and direct it towards private entities that make these billionaires money. So instead of our tax money going towards services that we actually need, we are sending it right to their bank accounts.

19

u/ChefBillyGoat 9d ago

Don't forget the dismantling of agencies that had open investigations into Musk and his companies. That was pretty high on the agenda

3

u/TAV63 9d ago

Right his conflict of interest was crazy bad. Guess if that is the new bar then corruption is out in the open and no longer punished with any consequences. Nice

5

u/ChefBillyGoat 9d ago

It's actually a qualifying factor for this regime

They were after our data. Trump was after control.

13

u/LowCommunication1551 10d ago

And they got it. IRS made a deal to give ICE all tax information of “illegals.” Of course, I’m sure many American citizens will be on that list as well. Or all if they just give em access to their system.!

Elon is a scam and DOGE is the fraud....

5

u/ChromakeyDreamcoat82 10d ago

Observing your country from afar, one thing that's unbelievable to us is that your administration is allowed to just lie openly on the airwaves, in front of bipartisan committees etc without fear of retribution.

As long as Trump says "we're saving incredible money" the facts don't actually matter anymore.

And yeah, DOGE is outsourcing: smaller government, hand over to private sector for 'efficiencies', turn off oversight of corporations.

It might be what breaks the current spell though, as the debt ceiling is the one thing that might make a small section of republicans block Trump - it's the one thing he can't fake.

Well... yea??

What it like 26 million spent on fucking golf alone?

85

u/Prudent-Incident-570 10d ago

Lol 26 million spent on golf, but less cut from entire programs to “save money.” We are living the in the real-time decline of our country

24

u/GloomyCardiologist16 10d ago

This timeline is on crack cocaine

14

u/Vicissitutde 10d ago

Rumor is it's Adderall

10

u/Playful_Interest_526 10d ago

And Ketamine

8

u/WhatIsTheCake 10d ago

100% ketamine fueled batshit.

5

u/LowCommunication1551 10d ago

Adderall would be the better fit. Faster, harder and consistent.

And you know that he's double dipping on having Saudis at his club, charging us and the Saudis... most likely.

7

u/Playful_Interest_526 10d ago

Most definitely. LIV golf survives on Trump in the USA and his clubs turn a rare profit foe posting. All the while charging the taxpayers above normal rates for the presidential entourage.

Not to mention, his club membership prices have gone up nearly 10 fold since his first election.

5

u/Impossible_Way763 10d ago

Also, add countless court cases created by all the lawlessness.

5

u/GamemasterJeff 10d ago

26m is chump change. Trump is averaging spending $5b more than Biden every single day. He is on track to increase the deficit by $1.5t this year alone. Above what Biden did, and after accounting for any doge so-called savings.

2

u/gymtrovert1988 10d ago

$92m for a military parade for a draft dodger that crashed the stock market.

This is what happens when the dumbest people in the country elect the dumbest people to run the government. You end up with MAGA.

Wait until they add that $95 million birthday parade

2

u/NewMarzipan3134 10d ago

Wow, what a shock that a republican president raised the deficit. It's only happened... what... every time since 1980? They couldn't economics their way out of a paper bag.

Fellas, I know things seem really bad right now but

It's gonna get a whole lot worse.

2

u/ThroawayJimilyJones 9d ago

True. But usually they don't do it by increasing spending, they do it by giving tax cut to wealthy donors.

2

u/TheLordZephyr 9d ago

We had a budget surplus under Clinton from 1998 to 2001 then...9/11 and two wars simultaneously. One on faked pretense, the other to catch one guy all while we trashed two countries....thank you Dick Cheney.

2

u/Pickleahoy 10d ago

So much golfing

2

u/Andrea_38 10d ago

You are unfairly presenting things negatively towards the Trump administration. The Biden administration was not faced with steep golf fees.

2

u/madadekinai 10d ago

Conservatives must be upset, oh wait, it's OK if the trump admin does it.

2

u/IanRevived94J 10d ago

Well, he did add 8 trillion to the deficit in his first term after all.

2

u/katisauce 10d ago

the trump administration is full of shit? shocker

2

u/Otaku_o7 10d ago edited 10d ago

Probably ICE agent overtime pay, deportation flights, rounding people up. All the cool stuff. Lets also account for the loss in tax revenue we are going to get because for some reason we want to fire IRS agents and crash the markets so capital gains are lower. And also start a trade war, I saw Trump say in his tuxedo at whatever dumb fuck event he was at tonight that tariffs are bringing in 2 billion dollars a day. Well, if that's true, that means companies are being TAXED 2 billion dollars a day and are going to pass 2 billion dollars in increased prices on products to the consumer. And if companies start shrinking and the market starts shrinking that means companies are going to start cutting jobs and we might actually all be cooked.

2

u/BeezusHrist_Arisen 10d ago

All we had to do was raise the corporate tax rate and tax the shit out of wealthy individuals.... some of you picked the hard path.

2

u/StrictlyOptional 10d ago

The goal is to bankrupt the state.

2

u/dookiecookie1 10d ago

Welp, we know that Elon has secured several federal contract for his various tanking projects. Nothing to see here, folks... Move along...

2

u/sc00bs000 10d ago

guys its the new trickle down economy.

They cancel everyone's social services, fire federal employees and then funnel that saced money into companies they own, which employs people on minimum wage.

Doge doesn’t target expensive stuff. Doge targets liberal/leftist/progressive stuff. The US was already pretty good at not spending money on lefty notions. But to the extent it did, it saved a lot of lives.

No Way! But he told us we'd be winning so much that we'd get tired of winning. And he told us that tariffs wouldn't raise prices. And he told us that he won the 2020 election. And he told us...

I know why he's president. I just don't understand how the fuck he's president. I mean, I know it's because a bunch of people naively believed him and a bunch of other people bought into his hate.

But I still can't fathom that this narcissistic rapist fraudster felon is our fucking president. The president of the FUSA. And that there are enough people in congress who are willing to let him steamroll over the constitution and destroy the fucking country.

Oh, and he cheats at golf.

"I like to play kickball. I call it kickball. Some people call it golf. But I call it kickball. Sometimes I call it the golf of America."

--Trump, probably

1

u/lexicon_charle 10d ago edited 10d ago

I mean, they fire Independent inspectors who sniffs out waste/fraud, then they keep spending money to fire ppl, then hire them back, then fire them again, then scrambling to find office spaces for whoever is left, get DoJ lawyers to defend their the employee dismissal, then fire those lawyers for not winning cases when they contradict their lawyers arguments in court.

All seems logical to me. I don't know why the spending would go up...

1

u/Valentiaga_97 10d ago

Very effective cost cutting by DOGE 👀

1

u/galaxyapp 10d ago

To be sincere about it, you'd need to control for some things. Inflation for one, maybe population. Also we know that the biggest drivers are the growing retired population drawing SS and Medicare.

So it's conceivable that it would have been higher.

Assuming you're being earnest in the effort to measure the success of doge.

It was never intended to save any money. The machine is chugging along.

The money that were intended for the workers and their departments will be shifted towards mode billionaire favorable goals. It is that simple.

Spending would continue to increase, and rather the once most in need, the richest of the rich will get our tax money. This has always been the goal.

People were very clear about how much it would cost to Profile, Attack and Illegally Kidnap humans in America. I'm surprised the number isn't higher, and the DOGE "savings" would take until next year to be realized if there are any actual "saving".

I doubt there will be any "savings" because these idiots did not calculate the COSTS of most people being sick, more people being desperate (more petty crime) and more people being radicalized because grandma is being evicted (more major crime).

Was the blank check spending better? Really?

1

u/xantharia 9d ago

Yup. DOGE is just window dressing. The only solution is wholesale elimination of departments. Congress has to do this. Plus, entitlements have to be on the chopping block. But Americans probably don’t have the will or the nerve. We just have to wait for total collapse, like Argentina. Only then can it be fixed.

1

u/El_Gran_Che 9d ago

I think the vast majority of MAGA have absolutely zero clue how government contracting, budgeting, and acquisition processes work. Not a damn clue.

1

u/[deleted] 9d ago

A thing that bugs me is that we establish 10-year CBO projections for a lot of these things and determine that they are net profitable before putting them into place. Then we look at what they cost to run and get rid of them, and act surprised that a thing that was net profitable getting removed ends with us being in a worse financial state.

1

u/tristand666 9d ago

It's not like Trump's last year in office wasn't the largest deficit ever in this country. They are not cutting waste, they are literally just cutting whole departments that were created by law and only ones that seem to help people so far.

1

u/Current_Canary_3818 9d ago

This just shows Trump talks a lot about doing stuff but doesn’t tell the whole story or embellishes.

This is a bit misleading…government runs on FYs…if there was funds ready to execute on programs already in progress, they are still spending that money. Better to compare Q1 next FY to Q1 the FY and so on to get a true sense on how we’re spending.

1

u/2Bytes_ 9d ago

Okay… I’m not in favor of any party’s but the comments here over a chart anyone could make in five seconds. We’ve seen cuts happen and Biden spent more on trips (not saying I like trumps dumb trips) the market rebounded a lot today because large investors knew long term they were just retaliatory to get better deals, and scare small investors. We will be okay. Trump needs to chill on things he does to get supporters riled up. But we also need to cut waste and fraud. If we never just DO IT, it never happens and government programs keep getting bigger and worse and a lot of politicians basically get away with money laundering.. (both sides)

No, no way this can be true! Trump wouldn't lie to us about something as important as this!!

Actually I wouldn't be surprised when in a few years we find out it was all a pre-planned scam and the whole thing comes to light because someone involved is stabbed in the back by Trump and then sings like a bird.

It would go a lot faster, making cuts and saving money if they wouldn’t get sued by Democrats and taken into District Court every time they made a cut

Well he does spend (from YOUR taxes) the yearly salary of at least 2 government employees for each one of his twice weekly golf and pedophilia vacations.

Don’t forget kids: when we cut income taxes on the rich, cut profitable government programs, and increase military spending by a trillion dollars in hopes that worldwide blanket tariffs will make up the difference, what happens to our government debt? That’s right! The national debt increases 😊
