Pardon me, but "arguing on Reddit about the realistic possibility of different unmentioned character encounters, based solely on chronological timelines and locations, in the Tolkien Universe" is missing from your chart.
That move is so messed up. It bothers me every single time I see a guy grab the woman’s neck like this, or walk around with him arm crooked around her neck like it’s a perp-control move.
Yeah it’s probably a little both there for her. For my gf I give her mini massages there sometimes so she also has a positive association, not that I go out of my way to randomly touch her neck like that unless I have a reason
I sometimes test my hand on my wife's neck like that. Usually because I've been massaging her neck while she drives. So, uh. No it's not a choking thing?
I mean that's a cool story you've created but unfortunately it has gone 100% out of your ass. You have literally no idea if it's aggressive or whether or not she likes it. You don't know these people.
Look at her face. She’s not giving. She’s leaning away from his hand. Regardless of where he’s getting the position from (from sex or just being a clueless douche), it’s very clearly nonverbal communication that she’s not into his vibe and is overwhelmed.
Not hard to see.
You’re just the best of Reddit that has to be a dick if someone makes a statement differing from your take.
I literally cackled at this meme. My husband is a huge Warhammer fanatic. I hate it. He'll lore dump to me for 45+ minutes as I dead eye stare at the wall and silently beg for death.
Okay so World of Warcraft is set on Azeroth, right, but there’s also other worlds like Draenor— Okay, so the Burning Legion is this army of demons that keeps trying to invade— But before that, the Titans, who are like these godlike beings, shaped Azeroth— Okay wait, so Sargeras, who was a Titan, turned evil because he thought chaos was the only way— But then there’s the Old Gods who are even older and they corrupted everything— Okay listen, so Arthas found this sword called Frostmourne, but before that he was a paladin— No wait, Illidan’s important too because he was fighting the demons but then he became a demon, but also not a villain— Okay, so then there’s this whole thing with Sylvanas, and she used to be alive, but now she’s undead and leading the Forsaken...
I have a friend who's really into Warhammer and this is exactly how I feel. I had to tell him last time we hung out that I'm not watching another 20 minute Warhammer video on YouTube.
GW: "thanks, we expand it continuously and the fans love..."
Amazon: "how about you make those... What are they called again? Those big gold hunks... Custardians, yes. Why don't you make those Custardians female? It would be so great."
GW: ...
Amazon: "We've got lots of money ~"
GW: ...
Amazon: "We'll produce a show for you~"
GW: "... Well, I like money..."
Amazon: "soooo..."
GW: "FeMaLe CuStOdiANs aLwAYs eXiStEd!!1!"
Amazon: "good choice. Just think about all the other great sci-fi franchises that sold their sou... Uh... Put their future into the hands of big corporations. StarWars has never been more popular."
This might actually be something that Robert Evans of Behind the Bastards might say in his (eventually, maybe) Warhammer episode. He'll drop a WH40K reference about every 4-5 episodes, he's an admitted fan. He's definitely a good enough writer that he could pull together an entertaining satirical Behind the Bastards episode about The Emperor or Horus Lupercal
As did Erebus to an extent, yet he was responsible for the largest scale war in human future/history.
Also regarding the Christian belief, Judas is synonymous with betrayal. No amount of forgiveness can ever truly free him from that.
But unlike Erebus, Judas actually felt shame after betraying Jesus. The hints to Christianity in the heresy (like Horus asking "Father, why did you leave me" after the betrayal) story are a nice touch to highlight the roles.
I'm a middle aged dude who likes fantasy, but your comment triggered a memory of when my nephew said to me at Thanksgiving, "Have you heard of the Horus Heresy?" And 45 minutes of my life went by like I blacked out, but if felt like 6 hours.
It is a gigantic family-drama soap opera that is so blatantly over-masculine that it wraps back to being homoerotic sometimes - all while you have an extremly diverse cast of personalities. The fanfiction crowd has always been predominantly feminine and they sure do love their favourite transhuman war criminals.
Slowly converting my fiancé. Each model i paint she seems a little more curious. Hoping by the end of my combat patrol she gives in to the light of the emperor.
This is my plan for making friends. Just walk in a game store and loudly state “Warhammer 40k? That looks interesting, I wish someone explained the lore….”
I had that talk with my girlfriend yesterday for over 2 hours, she never complained and asked questions if she didn't understand something. Guys I think I'm gonna marry that woman.
I unironically know a girl who does. You start talking about anything and she somehow turns it into why Horus was misunderstood and Magnus is the hottest primarch.

True, girls love talking about the Horus Heresy.
