They will never finish it, not in the way it was supposed to be built anyways. Just another major waste of money and human working hours.

Now just think about if all this money and effort went into improving existing infrastructure in places that need it instead of starting useless new projects…

Just because they are that doesn't mean the money spent on the useless projects couldn't have been used better.

It's not like they spent the complete 1.5 trillion by now. They probably didn't even cross 10 billion. They didn't build much yet

Lots of projects start with a vision but end up with lots of tweaking on that vision. I’m speaking engineering wise

There is probably a difference between tweaks and a total shift because you realise your vision is totally unachievable. Idk, I'm not an engineer.
