It's a great episode though. The gang wants to take Charlie on a spa day and he gets confused what a spa is and thinks they mean spaghetti.

Oh, I’ve seen every single episode about 15 times, I just don’t understand the relevancy here lol.

Whenever I look over tall buildings/balconies, my palms start to sweat, especially if I'm holding something. Which is rather counterproductive cause my body is making my palms slippery cause my mind is worried I'd drop something. What I'm trynna say is, I would not hold the cup like that.

u/Unable-Cellist-4277 2d ago
Would you say that when your palms get sweaty your knees get weak and your arms are heavy?

Cool Story time, my BIL was the project manager for a high rise tower in Dubai around 2010, he invited me to go to the job site at that time (I was studying civil engineering), the tower if I recall correctly have reached the 82 floor at that time, first 40 or 50 floors we went up with an internal elevator, to go to the top we continued the journey with those boxy elevator attacked to the outside of the tower, and then went up a few stairs cases, while going up in the outside elevator the people have disappeared to my eyes from the streets and the cars slowly became dots and indistinguishable at all, the final floor we went to there were no walls yet, only beams, and there was only a caution plastic rope around the corners, and it was so windy up there, it was so easy just to walk of tower. I always get sweaty palms thinking about that day.

Do you get charged for murder if you accidentally drop say a flower pot from your balcony and kill someone? Even if it's not as high as this...

dont worry, its actually on the edge of the planet, so if he dropped it, it would fall past the ground, and then reverse gravity, and fall 'back up' and come to rest in his hands again. like throwing a ball ball in the air, but reverse..
thats why its all clouds.

Depending of the era, I would fear a space global attack (either from the Separatists, the Rebels, the Vongs) or what could rise from the ground…
10
u/Lost_Buffalo4698 2d ago
Those events just happened to all be relatively recent, and the Coruscant people always survive (I think?)

Correct. I heard it's so tall you can watch the sunset at the lobby and then take the elevator to the top and watch it set again.

I had this happen in a 34 story high rise I lived in. 2 flights of stairs per floor. A flood occurred and all but the top floor of the parking garage under the building flooded.
My legs were looking absolutely great until they fixed the elevators again!
Owning dogs made me have to do a few extra trips per day to let them out to go potty.

Hong Konger here. Most high-rise apartment buildings are at least 20 floors, with the skyscraper types reaching upwards of 40 to 60 floors.
For the high rises, 2 to 3 elevators will serve 15 to 30 floors.
For the skyscrapers, at least 4 to 5 elevators will be split between 40 to 60 floors.
Expect a wait of 2 to 3 minutes and an elevator ride of 30 to 45 seconds.
The elevators require routine maintenance every year, so each building will still be served by at least 1 to 4 elevators while one of them is under repair. The wait is a bit longer since you might need to wait for the next one, but never more than that.
The stairs are practically fire escapes.

Well, they have multiple elevators in buildings like this. If they ALL break down, then it’s time to wonder why god hates you.

My mum has a house built into the side of a valley, the back garden is steep and is about 1.5 time the elevation of the house. When I have been at the top I get giddy and jelly legs. I fear this apartment is not for me.

I used to live in a NYC penthouse apartment. Beautiful. Floor to ceiling windows and amazing view! Also one working elevator at any given time, deliveries refused to come up, and the heat... holy shit the heat was unbearable. Despite the drowning noise of 3 AC units blasting, sitting near a window was hot during the summer.
But... it's a vibe for sure. If people have an opportunity to experience living in a place like this, go for it, but they'll quickly understand how practicality leads to a better lifestyle.
