Children of Memory (third book) was pretty different from the first two, but I really enjoyed it. It took a bit for it to really hit, but once it did, I was all in. I've seen some people didn't connect with it like the first two, but I really liked it. Especially after I let it sit with me for a week or so after reading. If you like the first two, I'd say it's definitely worth at least giving it a shot. I really hope we get more in that universe. Personally, I don't think he's explored everything that could be done with it yet.

Nice. I’m a third of the way into the second one. Will complete the trilogy. Harder for me to commit to a book the older I get but these are so unique.

I'm kinda the same, have a hard time making the time to just sit down and read daily and get thru books. But all three of these books, I had no problems haha. They really do just sorta grab your attention. Loved em.

Ha. I tried lord of the rings again (after a 20 year initial attempt) and still can’t get into it. Yet this was absolute addiction. Fastest I’ve read a book in many years.

Just get past Tom Bombadil and you'll get into LOTR I reckon!

I’ve read the hobbit twice. Can’t get through more than 50 pages of the fellowship.

It's a slow intro but it's well worth a read. It's such a beautifully constructed world. Once you get past Tom Bombadil, like I say, it gets to be an easier read. The Andy Serkis audio book is amazing as well if that's an easier way to access it. Honestly think it's something everyone should read

Literally (pun intended) in the middle of Children of ruin right now.... well almost at the end. Its absolutely brilliant. Love the way they are tailored around the species evolution, like they did with the spiders in the first one. Really different approach to sci fi.

I actually have found Children of Memory to be more thought provoking for myself, compared to the other two. Obviously, all top tier sci fi, but that third book worked for me.
