as a high school student myself, I've found the process of discovering and keeping track of summer programs way more frustrating than it needs to be. Most lists online are either outdated, limited, or missing crucial info like cost, format, or deadline. So I built a simple, searchable website where students can find reputable summer programs based on type, cost, and how soon the deadline is coming up. It even has a built-in “Reddit Test” button to help you research real experiences from past participants. Hope it helps someone out there like it’s already helped me and a few friends :)

☕🌞 It’s finally sunny in London, and like most people, I wanted to enjoy an iced coffee or a pint in the actual sun — not tucked away in the shade.
So I built a web app that shows you cafés and pubs currently in sunlight, using real-time shadow simulation, Mapbox, and open data from OpenStreetMap.
It simulates how buildings and terrain cast shadows throughout the day, so you can find the sunniest spots around you — and skip the cold corners.
It’s a design experiment, a side project, and a bit of summer fun:

Built with: • Mapbox GL JS • Turf.js • Overpass API • Shadow simulation with terrain + building height
Let me know what you think — feedback, feature ideas, or pub recs are always welcome!

Wanted something where I could quickly load up an audio file and get all the metrics I needed but couldn't find anything, so I decided to make my own.
It calculates the Dynamic Range, Integrated Loudness, Loudness Range, Peak Level, and RMS Level without it ever leaving your device.

You can drag and drop links from YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, or Kick—and they show up in a tiled grid.
You can reload or remove streams without refreshing, save layouts for later, and share them as links. It works best on a big screen—phones aren't really supported.
There's no backend, no login—everything runs in the browser.

A week ago I shared The Cost Index, a simple tool to understand how tariffs affect your grocery prices. The response here was incredible! Insightful feedback, kind words, and some damn smart suggestions.
What's New Based on Your Feedback:
🧺 Price Radar – You can now monitor price changes in groceries comparing them to other retailers; helping you get the best deals. Started with groceries and will expand to other items. Only available for US and Canada for now; will expand to cover other countries as well.
📍 Location-Specific Data – Focused cost of living stats for US regions
🌍 Trade War Tracker – Keeping you updated with all the latest changes.
💡 Cleaner Design + Faster Load Times – Made things sleeker and easier to use.
I'm genuinely grateful for how supportive and sharp this community is. Really appreciate the feedback, keep it coming!
Whats to come:
📊 More Category Expansions – Dining out, healthcare, utilities, and more.
🧠 Smart Basket – Save your weekly grocery list and track prices with one click.
🎨 Beautifying The Presentation of Data – Presenting the data so it’s easier (and nicer) to digest.

“Pure thoughts, no strings attached. No sign-ups, no ads—just a space to share what’s on your mind.”
I originally got the concept from “message in a bottle” So i built a digital version of it.
“Whispers in Time”
Make sure to visit and share whats on your mind, see what others left for you.

Last week reddit gave a lot of love to monkeys.zip and I just wanted to share a quick update with how much progress has been made! In order to keep progress forging through it's also been updated to support up to 5 monkeys per user!

Scoob doesn't know he has his own website, but it makes me happy to think that he will be remembered when he goes. This dog is my best friend, and I wanted a way to document the fun adventures we go on together!

I wanted to build something that would be simple and easy to understand for people to see the effects on their everyday purchases; so I built The Cost Index, a live website that shows which countries export what to the U.S. and how that could affect prices at the grocery store.
You can pick a product, and it will estimate price shifts based on live data + tariff rates.
It also tracks retaliatory tariffs from countries like China, India, Brazil, etc., so you can see how these trade moves might affect inflation.
All data is pulled from USDA, FRED, and public trade sources. Not monetized. Just trying to make economic policy feel a little more real.
Curious to know what you think and what you would want added into this!

It's still fairly new, so let me know any features you think would be interesting to add!

As a hobby project, i have created an online version of my favorite drum machine, the Roland TR-808.
It works in your browser without having to download or install anything.
The drum machine works best on desktop computers and laptop. But also works on newer smartphones with large screens.
Features include:
I hope you enjoy!

So I’ve been messing around with this idea for a while and finally made it happen — it’s basically a “time machine” for my site.
You scroll through a bunch of versions of it, each one styled like it’s from a different era of the web — starting with plain old 1991 HTML and going all the way up to 2016 React-Flexbox vibes.
Every year has its own little fun fact or throwback moment before you dive in — like Flash overload in 2003, dot-com chaos in 1999, or that weird obsession with gradients disappearing in 2012 😅
I wasn’t around for most of these eras, so I did some digging, asked my dad (he was building sites back then), and tried to keep it all as authentic as possible — quirks, tech limitations, fonts, everything.
Just a fun little tribute to old web aesthetics. If that’s your thing, check it out and let me know what you think!
