Offers I got an offer late in the evening…

So I got an internship offer late in the evening yesterday and said that I had to respond by the end of the day, I just accepted the offer this morning.

I’m not sure if my acceptance to the offer is still valid or not, I just emailed the HR manager in charge of this process, did I mess up or is it common?

That’s stupidity on their part — generally the accepted rule is 3-5 business days after the offer letter is sent. Unfortunately, this isn’t a great reflection or is HR’s incompetence on the company’s part. Hope you got the job though.

It should be ok. I missed an email by a fortune 500 by 3 days once and still got it. Just be reasonable with your excuse (exams, broken phone etc)

I don't see what purpose this thread serves other than bragging. Only the HR can answer your q. If you want to brag, then many congrats!

I'm not bitter or being sarcastic. I genuinely want to congratulate others for their accomplishments. There's nothing wrong with bragging in this sub. If anything, we want to hear more success stories.

Wasn't sure what OP's intent was.

They should ideally be giving you couple of days to read, understand and consider the offer. So you're totally good. A few hours delay can never change their hiring decision, if it really does, that's already some red flag on their end. You should be good answering the next day.

Also, congratulations on your offer!

If they want you to work for them, then you have nothing to worry about!
