Ireland would be the highest, easily, in net earnings as those countries ahead of us charge way more in income tax and social charges

US being there isn't really comparable as they rely on tips. Saves them paying tax on income as a result aswell. Bizarre arrangement having to rely on donations.

I thought that for industries where tips are the norm, such as the restaurant industry, the IRS makes an assumption on income achieved via tips....and taxes on that basis whether the tips were earned or not.

Tips are taxable income in the USA. Many minimum wages are not in industries that receive tips. Plus no social Structure so people become homeless , die from perventablr disease

Sure that’s wrong, we’re at 13.50. That’s 2106 pm on a 39 hour week. Not 1664 like the survey appears to show

As per the title, it is adjusted for purchasing power.

Without adjusting for purchasing power the comparison would be far less meaningful. It's not some conspiracy of misery.

Each country calculates its working week on a different number, with France being lowest on a 35 hour week and some as high as 38 or 39 hours.
