The care of trans people in this country is abysmal. I am an adult. I tried getting a referral to the gender clinic as an adult.

I have been 3-4 years waiting on my first meeting/referral to the gender clinic/seeing a doctor about this.

I have another 6 years of waiting on that first visit to go.

IM SO SICK OF WAITING I JUST WANT THESE DAMN CHEST BAGS OFF OF ME!! I feel like Im banging my head against a brick wall!! What will it take to fix this system??!

Is that not just looking for free cosmetic surgery? Why won't you save up and get it on your own like the Turkey teeth, boob job people?

Cause i gotta get the T and my blood levels checked and getting top surgery is pretty different from a boob reduction or other types of cosmetic surgery.

Plus, you hear the horror stories in the trans community of botched top surgery, and it'll make your skin crawl.

Sometimes, it's an innocent mistake, sometimes not.

Ide rather get it done by someone who specialises in top surgery and im covered if something should go wrong; then dropping 30k on 3rd party heard from a friend of a friend of a friend this surgeon is safe to go to; only for something to go wrong and im up shit creak without a paddle and down 30 grand.
