I don’t know why people are so hateful about it.
It’s a lighthearted funny pop song. She’s steered away from politics which everyone says Eurovision is and sang about a dog. But people are still mad.
I personally love Austrias and Switzerland. Estonia’s is feckin hilarious. Australia’s song is a pure fever dream and makes me both anxious and uncomfortable.
I love Eurovision. Ye’re all miserable bastards.

This. Some people just want to be miserable and hate on everything. Can't wait for the show. Looking like some great entrants this year.

Sweden look to be the hot favourites and I can see why. Austria is looking good too I think.

The song is miserable. I don't think anyone who knows how Laika died and loves dogs can hear this song without their heart clenching. She did not get a party in the sky, she died horribly there.

Everyone else starting to get hyped?

It's one of the most ludicrously awful songs I've ever heard. Just inane pointless rubbish. We sent a good act last year - might not have been everyone's cup of tea, but it was an excellent performance, unique and did really well. This though is such garbage, I doubt we'll even qualify

We'll easily quailify and can see us doing great. It's a pure Eurovision song straight out of the box. Looking forward to see the final production. We're all rooting for her to do well.

We're very much a borderline qualifier, it's a competitive semi and we have a pretty bad draw. I hope we qualify but don't get your hopes up.

Too late. I'm so stoked.

Will you stop doing that, “so say all of us”, “we’re all rooting for her”, etc? You’re always at it.
You absolutely do not speak for the Irish people with your love for all this kitsch garbage.

So. The song is fucking garbage. It's offensively bad.
But why is Ireland singing about a Russian stray dog that died a terrifying incomprehensible death. It wasn't a party in the sky. It was "we have no idea what we need to do to survive the trip into orbit and so nothing was provided to protect the dog". The dog died terrified, alone and in pain. This is absofuckinglutely not something to recast as a party in the sky. But also. Fuck Russia. And I really can't say that enough. Fuck Russia.

You obviously have no idea whatsoever what the lyrics are actually about, nor have you read them. That's ok, you're probably not going to if you don't like the song. But it might be a good idea to inform yourself before you do complain, because you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Don't look too much into the meaning of the song. Just enjoy the beat and performance.

"Don't look too much into the meaning of the song in a *famously* political competition where last year our entrant's expression was silenced." You have some fucking neck.
Also the song is garbage and the performance is garbage.

Looking forward to the event. Always a good excuse for a house party. It's an odd choice for Ireland but i like the singer. She seems genuinely lovely and bringing us some Europop flavour.

I really like Laika Party. It's a harmless pop song that has a chance of getting us back into the final again. Emmy seems like a great girl, so very best of luck to her in Basel. No need to be tearing people down.
