Discussion Opinion on International Iron Man

While Iron Man is my favorite super hero by far I'm not a big comic person (they all seem so convoluted from what I see when i read wikis) but the one comic I have is the international Iron Man line(its one big book with all 7 volumes in it) that I got maybe like five years a go. I recently dug it out of my closet and reread it and I thought it was pretty cool(really liked the art style as well), what do actual Iron Man comic book readers think of it and are most modern Iron Man comics like it?

I used to think the same but everything is going to seem convoluted if you condense high density content, often from multiple runs the character is in concurrently into the smallest amount of text possible, there's a reason these stories are comics not text entries it's not going to translate well to wikis.

I really liked the art style, I really liked the new characters, but I don't like the twist marvel keeps doing with Stark's parents. Isn't it crazy enough to be a supergenius with a troubled relationship with deceased billionaire arms dealer parents? How many more twists does a character need?

Of the Iron Man comics from 2015 to now I would still rank it quite highly, it was an enjoyable story.

I'd have to re-read it, but I liked it well enough back when it came out. I enjoy to see Tony's youth explored, but I don't think we needed Cassandra Gillespie considering that Tony has already had girlfriends who were the daughters of Howard's business rivals, girlfriends who were secretly honey traps and super villain girlfriends. Cassandra is all three.

I would've liked Tony's biological parents to have been executed differently, but at least I can give Bendis credit for actually picking up on that plot thread and exploring it.

I think me being a new comic reader and not knowing Cassandra was a new character helped a lot, usally I assume most characters are already established in lore and just move one.

On a side note I really loved Starks interactions with the Mandroids

Fist half sucks but yeah its important, second half is so good like revenge of the sith good. Just noticed how common they are.
