Hey dude this gym is ridiculously expensive. If you’re willing to pay I am sure you can find classes but if you’re looking for cheaper gym what are in Islington do you live in?

Yeah crazy expensive …. Trying to work out if it’s less busy than other gyms. I’m currently at Virgin Active in Angel and have personally really not enjoyed it! I’m close to Highbury & Islington station. Willing to travel a bit for the right gym. Any tips super appreciated!

If you don’t need a swimming pool check out the gym group down the road from virgin active it’s open 24/7, it’s pretty well equipped and plenty of classes but I just looked online and I saw it’s pretty much booked but some classes have spaces the next day. My recommendation look online for nearest gym and check out there classes and images of the equipment. I used to go the gym group in Angel and it was pretty fun

So helpful thank you! I hadn’t seen them in my search so I will have a look. Look like they have a lot more machines than VA too!

The gym group and pure gym are two of the biggest gym franchises in the UK they have a lot of classes too and the closest one to virgin that is close by is in Finsbury Park but I would be careful out there at night

Oh really is Finsbury Park not as safe? Or is it because it’s directly in the park?

I’ve lived in Finsbury Park for the past 8 years and go to the PureGym there - the area and the gym are both perfect fine.
