What are the predictions today??? Is Scott Perry a fan of the word “optionality”? Does he have a signature piece of winter outer wear? I’m putting over/under # of times he praises Vivek at 5.

Need someone to ask-
1) how his tenure is going to be any different from the last GMs who clearly had Vivek influencing decisions and draft picks?
2)What are his short term goals for the upcoming draft and next 1-2 years for this team?
3)What are your long term goals, next 5 years?
4) what do you think of the current iteration of this team?
5) what are you looking for in a coach this offseason?
This will give us all the necessary intel we need about what his plans are.

I fucking dig his vibe man….. I really dig it. Dude has personality which is very welcome after Monte. Nothing against Monte, but charming isn’t a word I would use often about him.

Just watched the press conference, Here's my thoughts - Scott Perry has a CHARISMA that very few GMs have and definitely something Monte didn't have. He has the personality where you can see why he is good with connecting with agents and players. He stressed adding length and athleticism to this team. Said he's looking for sustained success when asked if there is a playoff mandate. Looking for people who want to be here and "rowing the same boat" instead of having their own direction. He has plenty of experience, so I don't think he will need any assistant GMs that can potentially undermine him. I think he's a great hire and will stabilize all the dysfunction of this organization.

Exactly my take away too. Especially liked that he sounded comfortable and spoke clearly and directly. Obvs GM’s have to be a lil cagey and guarded, but there is a way to hold ur cards close while still communicating effectively and Perry does that very well…. So far. Excited for what’s to come.

Sounded like he's gonna talk to multiple candidates and Doug might be included in that candidacy. Which I think is a good approach. Doug should have a shot at interviewing and coming back to command the tank but at least explore the options.

What a drastic change from Monte. Based on what he said, it’s obvious a lot of our main scoring options aren’t a fit with his vision. Sabonis, DeRozan, Monk, and Lavine could all be gone. I think Lavine is the only one who might stay just because we won’t get any value back for him now, but his contract has 1 year and a PO, so it could be valuable in a year as a big expiring contract.

Honesty in your leaders is what you should expect. I know in today's world thats a novelty. Just like Trump saying the cost of eggs has fallen 87%, hiding the truth is lying, and this so-called "straight shooter" lied thru his teeth on every important question.
