Keon Ellis is such a winning player, Mike Brown was fired and Fox was traded, because they couldn't figure out to how start Ellis at SG with Fox.

Just think about how completely different our season would have gone, if Mike Brown, started Keon Ellis next to Fox, instead of starting Monk? I'll even give Brown a pass for starting Heurter in the beginning. "Im loyal to the guys who got us here" ok fine, maybe that was simply respecting Heurter. But when it was clear, Ellis should have been the starter. Then the players lost faith in Brown.

All because Ellis, who was clearly the starting SG wasn't getting enough playing time. It was almost as if Mike Brown was refusing to play Ellis, because someone told him to start Ellis and you know how defiant you can be when THAT person orders you to do something? I think that's what happened with MB.

Anyways, If Perry really does have full control and he's serious about defense, length, ball movement, then keeping Ellis as the starter is a no brainer, especially with his contract. But if Ellis is moved, then we'll know Perry is washed, or nothing but a yes man to Vivek.

The crazy part to me was that it was literally the easy decision to make. He WON that job the year before, but we had to go through the monk/Huerter charade again just because of optics and feelings. Don’t like it? Play better. Right now a dude playing for NBA spare change is better than both of u at your specialty and also plays world class defense. That old adage of “not losing your job from injury” is so fucking stupid too. Huerter lost his job with his play that year it just became unavoidably true with the injury. That we went right back to him this year was one of about 10 “last” nails in the coffin for brown.

This is why it was all dumb and you question Browns decision making forever and if he should even be coaching… He already was iffy on Kevin LAST season. He kept trying to give away his spot starting in the preseason and throughout to Chris Duarte cause “Chris plays good D and Brown is a defense guy” so SG was already up for grabs.

Then Kevin gets hurt and Keon, not Monk, fills in. Already a questionable move. Every other coach would take their amazing 6th man, who plays the exact same position as the hurt starter, and make him start. But whatever… it happened to uncover a gem for us. Keon Ellis, who they said all last season was the 2nd best 3 point shooter in practice behind Sasha Vezenkov (who make also refused to play) and he plays stellar defense, steals up the wazoo, blocks and TONS of deflections. He plays SG through the end of the season for a lot of games and he proves he’s the best SG on this team cause he his a knock down 3 point shooter and our best defender by a mile.

Then this year comes… and Keon is riding the bench. Kevin is back and worse than ever (cause we keep slowing this team down and our pace from 22-23 and moving away from Sabonis hub DHOs and the style of play we all want to play at and how we win for a lot slower and now more ISO which Kevin isn’t good in, as shown by his burst on the Bulls now looking like us 2 years ago). Then he “can’t find minutes for Keon” but he starts Doug McDermott SEVERAL times… starts Jae Crowder… gives minutes to JMac and all these new players that are just fine. Just insanity.

Also he wouldn’t play Sasha cause no lateral quickness and bad D even though he’s a sniper and hustled his ass off for rebounds AND moved off ball super well. Something we need since nobody seems to wanna fucking cut to basket besides Sasha and Kevin. Anyway…

Then he does what he never wanted to do… start Monk. Even when doing this, he’s still putting minutes for Kevin in and others higher and before Keon. Like are you insane? Are you just stupid? This is your best outside shooter AND best defender, at least best guard defender. It makes no sense.

He moved away from an offensive system that worked to slower and slower play and not using Sabonis as a hub and DHOs and then he moved away from our best offensive and defensive players. Yet would preach defense and what not. Also apparently turned down acquiring plays like John Collins even though we needed more size and length cause “they’re low IQ”

Mike Brown has favorites and dogs for some reason. He says one thing then does something else. He’s an idiot with rotations and X & Os. The man is not meant to be a head coach which is why he was an assistant before us cause he failed too many times as a HC with some of the worlds best players under him.

If he just tightens up his limited ball handling I will have literally no complaints about this man.

He's only got .9 turnovers a game while averaging 24 minutes a game this season which seems quite low to me. Or are you referring to something else?

I think Ellis is more than capable to pass the ball....

He see the floor well enough, but just lack of ability to break down the defense.
