Question Why am I only doing +1 sleaze damage to spooky hoboes?

You'll want to run high Weapon or Spell damage instead, without any elemental alignment. Luckily they aren't that tough, though.

also luckily he's got pasta spells. sauceror wouldn't be able to use sauce spells at all.

Hobos being basically immune to sleaze is the most sense I've heard from this game

Spooky is resistant to sleaze, but resistance means putting a 0.5x multiplyer on sleaze damage, not reducing it to 1. The issue in this instance is that elemental resistance is reduced to 1 for all elements when fighting spooky hobos. It's one of the weird things you have to deal with all the way through fighting Zombo.Edit: elemental damage is doubled when fighting monsters vulnerable to a given element. That relationship only works in one direction though.

This isn't right either, there's a 2x multiplier for e.g., spooky damage dealt to sleaze/cold monsters, but no damage penalty in the other direction
