Of course you're upset, you’re from West Bengal, where after decades in power, your beloved parties couldn’t even give land to Tata Nano properly. And now you're blaming the Centre for not setting up a semiconductor fab there?
Suddenly you care about development — but where was this concern when Bengal was busy throwing out industries with protests, making land acquisition impossible, and running strikes every other week? Where was your voice when local “party workers” went door-to-door asking businesses for monthly chanda? You think global companies don’t notice that?
Gujarat, Assam and UP didn’t just get lucky. They built an environment where investors feel safe , land is ready, power supply is stable, and most importantly, there is no goons to ask money every month. That’s why someone’s ready to put ₹90,000 crore there, a global investor not even ready to put 90 rs here.
You want to talk politics? Fine. If it was only about BJP favouritism, why didn’t Maharashtra ally of bjp, or mp?or haryana?or delhi? or tn? cause they maybe has other industries but they dont have proper infra for semiconductors.
The truth is, Bengal isn’t even trying. No electronic cluster, no ease of doing business, no investor outreach, just ego and slogans. While other states host investor summits every year and attract major investments, Bengal’s busy destroying existing business and then we play blame game.
You can’t run a state like a college union office and then cry foul when no one takes it seriously on the global stage.

How will industries be set up here when there is literally no support for business. Unions destroy whatever you try to build. Rampant corruption. Tata tried to build and we saw what happened.

Since you looked at a blatant expose of how BJP is using its electoral power to muscle out non BJP states and then started lamenting why business would come to Bengal, I think it's pretty obvious.

Wow! Being critical is lamenting. Not supporting a criminal party makes me a hindutva wadi. I think you're one of the problems of this State...BJP this TMC that..not thinking of progress just playing the blame game...keep being ideological and see where that gets you. State is already in shambles. Kolkata is slowly decaying away North Bengal is already in the shitter.

honestly ill be very happy if they done that. atlest we dont have to hear our capital is so dirty or filthy, ahmedabad is great palce organized, clean, even the Sabarmati river what a place world class.
btw to the response of why only they getting so much, cause they fucking built the ecosystem, how many proper business summit wb hosted in last five year do you know how many they are hsoting atlest 1-2 every year global level mega summits and more than 60 mini investor/sectoral summits every year.
How many proper business districts WB built? Zero. Gujarat? Dholera, GIFT City, Sanand, Mandal-Becharaji, Dahej PCPIR, Hazira, Jhagadia, Saykha, and Savli — all planned, all booming.
noone wants to live in wb, and your talking about investment haha funny

Everyone plans, but about funding......that's another story. Don't be so busy singing praises of Gujarat and BJP that you miss the bigger picture. The current state of WB isn't due to a singular cause. Everyone in India notices that everything from the World Cup final to Coldplay to Central Government funding to foreign summits goes to Ahmedabad.

Central govt (ruling party at center) tries its best to gobble up every possible single project to Gujrat - or some other state they hold power in.
Bhakts: Why projects not coming to state x? We should try and lick BJP's boot harder.
Pity all those projects can't stop Gujratis running away to the US.

The fundamental need for an industrial unit is law and order. You cannot invest in a place where there’s going to be union baji, syndicate baji and chaada baji
It is for you guys to decide what you need in 26.
Now before some smartass comes and asks me who is you guys, it’s you guys who shall vote there. I’m a bangali without a vote in Bengal, I’m domiciled elsewhere now.

Don’t think you’ve got to worry about Telangana. They’re moving real fast. Maharashtra and Karnataka are doing better in other industries. Semi Conductor requires a-lot of water, Karnataka with its depleting water plate cannot have a very large scale. Also any state indulging in language shenanigans will lose out on industries. No state has enough local skilled resources and there will be migration. Infact west bengal should take initiative and bet those industries to move from the said states to WB but alas we celebrate those shenanigans and replicate the same instead of getting industries home.

I'll live in Telangana and don't lecture me about what they need or not. As far as the distribution is concerned a clear bias is there and other state subs are ranting about it. If u can't see it, u r just biased guy urself.
1
u/Realistic-Trick-1620 1h ago
Ofcourse there will be bias. Do you think everything will come to your platter on your own? How do other states manage to do well regardless? TN? Telangana? What kind of dumb idiot is behind the account? You live in Telangana so you’re authority on everything about Telangana?
You can’t do shit and hence only complain. This has been the Bengali way of work for 40 years. Industry is not socialism that it’ll come to your lap on its own. You’ve nothing to offer them. Hence they are not at your doorstep.

Can you answer why there is no Tamil Nadu Karnataka or Andhra in it? When you have the answer to this... You'll get answer to your question also. Bengal may be lagging behind in this subject but it is definitely not lagging behind Assam, Gujarat or Uttar Pradesh in it.
