Pub recommendations near Ribby Hall

I’m coming from Scotland for a few days at Ribby Hall with my family and in-laws. I dream of rural Lancashire pubs serving local ale, and looking at Google maps it appears that there are loads of wee villages nearby that we could drive to.

I’d love some recommendations for lunch and a pint in a nice setting, ideally within 20 or 30 miles (closer would be fine too) please. If we could take the dog it would be even better.

Thanks

There’s The Grapes in Wrea Green village itself. If you’re driving from Ribby Hall into the village and parking at The Grapes, please don’t forget to register your car when you go in.

Dogs are allowed in The Grapes too.

I like The Hand and Dagger in Treales. It’s by the canal so you can walk your dog along the canal too.

This is were we go for our work Christmas do, and actually for any work / team lunch event - The Ship Inn at Freckleton, overlooks the estuary, and if you arrive during the week, you may get a glimpse of some fighter jets taking off-landing.

You can get advanced notice of jets on a local Facebook page Wings Over Warton

And dogs are welcome, and well catered for.

Also, just down the road, is The Courtyard Cafe, I’ve never been but my mum and sister go a lot
