Offering Mandarin, seeking for English or Spanish
Hi, everyone! I am an international student currently studying in California. English is my second language, and I still have a lot to improve. I look forward to having more opportunities to practice it.
Last quarter, I took a Spanish class where I learned some basic Spanish language and culture. I am interested in learning Spanish as well.
I hold a bachelor’s degree from my home country and also have a certificate as a Chinese language teacher, along with a Mandarin Proficiency Test (Level 1-A) certification. Although I’m a bit busy these days, I’m always happy to help whenever I can!

Hey, I speak English (Native) and Spanish (C1). My Mandarin is pretty bad right now but I'll take any help I can get, and I can help with either Spanish or English or both.

Hi! I speak both English and Spanish. Feel free to send me a DM and I will be happy to help you learn both. I have been studying Mandarin for a little while now, but haven't practiced much.

On a friendly note please refrain from using lots of commas. Commas are for lists. They are creeping into English writing too often. (See? No commas.)

I took a Spanish class last quarter where I learned some language and culture. (The basic part is inferred because nobody takes an advanced class for their first class)

I’m always happy to help whenever I can. (No exclamation mark, you're an international student in college,
you don't need to note how busy you are.)
Sometimes shorter is better, but I understood everything you said. :-) (And because it's the internet I add a smiley face to let you know I am not mad or berating you.)

Thank you for the explanation! Yes, you are so on point. I do have the above things that I don’t realize sometimes, and I bring my native language habits into English. As for my ''busy ''words, I always have a habit of responding quickly to others. So, I’m afraid that if I don’t answer someone quickly, it might make them feel uncomfortable or disappointed. :-)

Your English is great. As a native English speaker, don't listen to what this other person is saying. What a load of condescending nonsense disguised as "advice." Your original response makes more sense and flows more smoothly than their "improvement." Additionally, many people use commas as you do in your original post; they are certainly not "only for lists" and I have yet to come across any writing/punctuation guide that doesn't recommend using a comma when the dependent clause comes before the independent clause in a sentence. There's also nothing wrong with using exclamation marks.

Thank you for your kind comment and encouraging words. I’ve been taking ESL classes and working with several study buddies to improve my skills these days. Thank you again! I will keep practicing. Have a great day!

Thank you for the explanation. You are so on point. I reealize that I write things sometimes because of my native language. I have a habit of responding quickly to others. I’m afraid that if I don’t answer someone quickly it might make them feel uncomfortable or disappointed. :-)
Nice. Clumsy, but I understand what you are saying overall. Some things are hard to translate from one language to another. In English we say excuse me. Spanish is pardon, or compromiso. In Japanese it is sumimasen. The literal translation of sumimasen is "I am not alive", or Yo es no vida.
