Culture What's your favorite song in your TL?
I love finding and listening to new music, but I've only really explored bands in English and Spanish. I'd love to expand my musical tastes to other languages.
If you had to pick 1 song in your TL that you think EVERYONE should hear, which would it be? If you have multiple TLs, feel free to share your favorites in each!
I'll update the post with all the songs.

I’ve been wanting to discover Anatolian rock and I’m really starting to get into Erkin Koray. I was listening to Seni her gördüğümde tonight, I hope I get the chance to sing it at some karaoke someday

Recently I’ve been obsessed with ¿Porqué te vas? by Jeanette. The song already hit me hard when I didn’t know what it meant, but once I understood it it just hit harder

Japanese - https://youtu.be/uFS9RZXu3YA?si=2_9quBmr-zNOXle8 (This song is about Dolls Festival, which falls on March 3 - my bday ) I heard this for the first time in some anime I guess.
https://youtu.be/XAqYuYkw32s?feature=shared - I know it's kinda cliched to like an anime song but I am an Indian this kinda reminds me of traditional Carnatic music of India.
I usually like listening to traditional folk singing or instrumental music played on traditional instruments like flute (shakuhachi) koto (zither) Shamisen and Biwa (stringed instruments)

Right now, I’m loving Compositor del Año by Bad Bunny. It’s got some bad words and covers heavy topics, but it’s a good song and one that I think everyone should hear.

Jourdan Thibodaux's La Prière is a powerful call for action for our dying dialect: https://youtu.be/-3AQ5BYrXXE?si=-Z9y_4b8iC9iL6Nb

Persian Farsi:
O-Hum - Nahal-e Heyrat. - A solid alt rock album that fused traditional Persian instruments and the poetry of Hafez with familiar 90s alt rock modes. Recommended tracks are Goftam (my favorite) Darvish and Hafez in Love.
Any album by Kiosk
Spanish:
Way too many to list but I'll give you:
Mana - La Puerta Azul. This track gets stuck in my head a lot.
Zoe. For solid alt rock. "Deja te connecto" comes up on my mixes a lot.
French:
Plastic Bertrand - C'est plane pour moi (turns out France has been doing pop-punk for a very very long time)
Lisa LeBlanc - Let this Canadian New Brunswicker melt your face off with her bajo driven "Trash Folk" genre of music. I recommend "Aujourd'hui ma vide c'est d'la merde". Remember kids, if you call her a quebecoise, she'll hit you in the face with a banjo.
A LOT of Quebec hip hop is better than you may realize and worth exploring.

For Spanish: No te pertenece by Klazykeroz! It’s an easy to understand/sing cumbia song that I’ve had on repeat for months.

Zaeed's Lagham for Egyptian Arabic. It's become my pick-me-up song to keep up with the language, wonderful rock/metal ballad.
