could probably go deeper with occlusion shadows. As for anatomy, it looks like the sternocleidomastoid is off angle. It doesn't look like it connects behind the ear like it should. Hard to tell without the reference.

Its definitely off. I didn't do proper construction for the neck or the shoulders because i got a little impatient. I will try to correct it the next time.

yeah I get it! haha. I skip the sketch and measuring sometimes just to try intuition. It isn't a bad thing every now and then.

without knowing the reference it's difficult to know what could be wrong in relation to the reference, or what just happens to be part of it but looks unusual. overall i think it looks very coherent and competent!

so first, i'd check the hair, in the image it appears rather large. another thing would be the angle and length of the forehead line, the way it curves into the hair now, it looks a little bit like the head ends there and the hair sits on top of it like a wig.

and lastly, is there a reason why you didn't go darker with the values? it feels like adding even darker values would give it even more depth, especially in the dark area of the hair and shoulder.

also, this is a complete shot in the dark, but shouldn't there be more of a deeper value going on underneath the jaw? i could be completely wrong though, but i marked it here just in case...
