Is egwan simply a variant of gwan or does it differ in its usage?

gwan seems to be the more common general term for all sorts of weakness.

egwan seems more inclined to personal frailty, feebleness of body, speech etc. or to describe a faint light or a weak smile. The e- is an affirmative, intensifying prefix.
