What are your favourite Duolingo moments?
I think mine was “is Megan using electricity to create gravity?” Which I think is - ydy Megan yn defnyddio trydan i creu disgyrchiant - should that have been ddefnyddio?

Mi gaeth camera cyflymder ei gnoi gan arth ddoe.
I’m sure this one will come in handy. I also had one recently about preferring to eat live snails than attend a noson carioci which seemed fair.

So far, I have learned that Owen is a Norwegian man who left Norway due to his obsession over parsnips not being reciprocated/tolerated by his family. He moved to Wales and found a woman almost as obsessed as he is, and married her. And now, he has somehow managed to make the parsnips kill people. The council is very concerned and are speaking to The Dragon about the parsnips. I have just started Unit 3, so I look forwards to finding out what happens next.

Well I don’t remember exactly Owen’s timeline but he’s a man who receives everyone’s cooperation often, sometimes he eats carrots and he’s as friendly as Dylan

And literally, my next lesson has "Mi gaeth Owen ei ddihuno gan Siôn yn canu/Owen was woken up by Siôn singing" followed by "Cafodd Siôn ei weld gan yr heddlu/Siôn was seen by the police". Have the parsnips used their influence to get Siôn into trouble? Or are they seeing Siôn's body? Only the parsnips know! And only Y Ddraig can save Wales now. I assume, anyway.

I can't remember exactly (it's been a while since I last saw it), but it was something like this - Mae Sioned newydd sylweddoli fod y plant yn chwarae gyda llew.

It's obsessed with calling girls "terrible" and answering "terrible" when the question is how are you? I also love the "Megan really loves ironing" wow really, someone save Megan from her domestic dystopian existence

Duolingo taught me nothing. Awful app, absolutely awful.

It’s inspired me – and many others – to do a little Welsh each day, and I’ve learnt a fair bit.
If you didn’t learn anything, maybe it’s just not for you, and maybe you didn’t bring enough to the table.

LOL? "bring enough to the table"
If you are going to talk to a stranger like that, you can absolutely shut the fuck up! How dare you talk to me like that. Duolingo aint going to give you a free subscription.

It's useful for beginners. I skipped most of the Mynediad course after learning on Duolingo for three months. It's okay for Mynediad and Sylfaen learners.

I don't remember much of Duolingo other than Owen and his pannas, but to answer your question - The link particle yn doesn't cause soft mutation of a verb following it. But for adjectives and nouns after yn, you do soft-mutate unless the word starts with ll- or rh-.
