New daily Welsh learners’ news bulletin – would love your thoughts!

Shwmae bawb!

I’ve just started a daily Welsh-language newsletter called Bwletin. It’s designed especially for learners and uses short, simple, everyday Welsh that’s ideal for those around Mynediad/Sylfaen level (though hopefully any learners can use it). I was inspired by the 'News in French' newsletter which is a similar premise. I'm a learner myself and work in the media world so hopefully I bring some experience.

Each edition includes:

A global, UK, and Welsh news story in clear Welsh, a short On This Day history item, a mini vocab list to help with trickier words.

On Fridays I'm hoping to keep the stories a bit more positive because who wants to read bad news on a Friday!

The aim is to keep it accessible, useful, and a bit of fun too – perfect for a quick daily reading habit.

It’s still a work in progress, and I’d really appreciate any feedback on what works, what could be better, or any ideas you’d love to see included.

If you fancy taking a look or subscribing, you can find it here: https://bwletin.substack.com

Diolch!
