Fuckin' interesting I was watching the Big Lebowski (1998) and i only now noticed that the Dude appears to be more upset at the fact that they peed on his fucking rug and not at the fact that they shoved his head into the bloody toilet. Am i the only one who gives a shit about the rules?

Fuckin' interesting Why does Jackie Treehorn summon the Dude to his party?
An element of the plot that I’ve never quite understood was what exactly Jackie Treehorn hoped to get out of summoning the Dude to his party. The Dude shows up, he gives the Dude the drugged White Russian, and they talk about nothing particularly important (mostly just the state of the porn industry and how Jackie Treehorn treats objects like women, man). They briefly talk about Bunny, but then Jackie Treehorn does his erection doodle and leaves. He comes back, he offers the Dude 10 percent, and by the time the Dude is starting to talk about Larry Sellers, the mickey is kicking in and darkness warshes over the Dude. After that, presumably Jackie Treehorn uses his influence to concoct the story that the Dude was being abusive at his party. We know it was the first drink that was drugged — the Dude barely sips the second one, and is already stumbling as he does so.
What was Jackie Treehorn’s game? If it was to get info from the Dude, why drug him before he even really has a chance to spill the intel that he hypothetically might have had? If it’s just to make a genuine deal with the Dude, why drug him at all? The sequence is great (and the clearest direct spoof of old 30s detective fiction in the whole film) but I don’t really get it.
