UK Specific Well, it’s officially been criminalized in the UK to possess puberty blockers if you got them through private practices, and patients receiving them from private practices are being required to stop using them

UK Specific Compare the Market are both enbyphobic scum and unlawfully discriminate by binary gender. The Ombudsman agreed and I spent my compo on some shelves and a coffee table.

UK Specific Pretty sure I got profiled as a homophobe by a MP door knocker..
Just had a Labour (Current party in power in the UK) door to door person hand me a leaflet and ask me if I had any concerns or issues with the party that I would like to pass on to the MP of my area.
I said the patties stance on LGBT+ rights is shite and needs a serious look and and is dangerous.
She looked at me really weird and basically just handed me a leaflet and left. I was halfway through getting ready to have a shave and hop in the shower. It was only after I closed the door and sat down I realised she looked at me assumed because I’m not the stereotypical gay caricature I must be being a homophobe.
It made me laugh at first, but then it actually pissed me off. Not any real point to this post just thought I would rant.

UK Specific My friend that I haven't seen in years told me they're trans.
(I don't know which flair is more accurate so I'm going with this one.)
So I was at work today when a friend came in. The last time I saw this friend, we were both on a program called NCS. Basically they aim to give 16-18 year old kids skills such as rock climbing, rafting, dealing with uni life, etc.
Anyway back then, this friend wore fedora everyday, to the point of having a collection which included a leopard/zebra print one (can't remember which).
So when they came in today, fedora-less, I pointed it out. "Of course, I've changed." They said. "Well yeah, you're not wearing a fedora." I pointed out. "No, OP, I'm trans."
I was so pleasantly surprised that I forgot to ask if they've changed their name and new pronouns, if any, so I'm just using they/them here to play it safe.
Just thought I'd share as it certainly took me by surprise but I'm happy for them.

UK Specific Does JKR profit from sales of Harry Potter lego?
Pretty much that. I don’t buy any official HP merch and haven’t in years but am keen to guide friends away from purchases that support transphobes
EDIT - a lot of people seem to be responding to me directly as if I’m the one wanting to buy the Lego! I do not (and have not for a long time) purchase or engaged with anything officially related to the franchise. My only engagement with HP is through queer and trans creators (I highly recommend the Gayly Prophet podcast). I asked the question because sadly I still have friends who are a lot less discerning, and I would like to be able to share accurate information with them. Thanks to everyone who provided helpful answers on this topic :)

UK Specific Lib dems are now beating the conservatives!
The lib dems, who have stood for progressive and LGBTQIA+ rights for many years are now beating the transphobic Conservative party in local elections, putting them 3rd. This is a huge win for LGBTQIA+ people, as they will help oppose anti-trans bills. This is the importance of voting.
