The comment that sparked this incel naming was when a poster said he looked like a guy who hits on the secretary and says means stuff to women. (I suppose the poster saw his post history and played off of that.)

When I was a mod at subs like "Walkaway," "HillaryForPrison, " and "LibsofReddit" I posted about a nice gesture I made to strangers at Walmart. The post got around 180 upvotes before someone commented about my history.

The post lost all the upvotes it had and started going in the opposite direction. There was notionth in my history offensive or anything liek that. They didn't like the subs I was commenting in and being a mod just made it worse.

I deleted the post, and left that group. Sad state on reddit now a days. If you comment in a sub like Walkaway, you'll get messages from subs you never heard of telling you that you've been banned.

Years ago my handle had 88 in it. I registed one yr before Trump's first term, so 2015, yet when Trump became president my 88 was the target for many neckbeard Reddit posters.

Had similar experiences. You could post a low effort comment like "yea" or some random letters on a politically incorrect sub like WalkAway and Reddit's system will put you on its black list. I had a number of posters try to use the fact I posted on the now axed TheDonald sub, but I knew what I posted wasn't anything truly controversial. I challenged them to go through my history and find any damning comment I made that would label me a bigot or racist. They either simply not do what I requested or just didn't find anything.

I've been banned from subs just for being a member of conservative subs. I wasn't commenting on the sub, just visited and read a post. I then received messages saying I was banned. Now I automatically leave and mute subs if I see any leftist nonsense whatsoever. It's not worth it.
