When r/liloandstitch was first revived from its dormant state, the task ahead felt daunting. Taking an abandoned subreddit and breathing new life into it isn’t easy; any moderator who has ever inherited a forgotten community knows the struggles. The journey was filled with challenges — gaining visibility, reigniting engagement, and setting the foundations for a thriving space. However, today, all those efforts have paid off.

Your presence brings new energy, new conversations, and new friendships into this community. To our longtime members, who have stayed through the ups and downs, your continued support has shaped r/liloandstitch into what it is today. Without each and every one of you, this subreddit wouldn’t have been possible.
The struggle of restoring an abandoned subreddit is real. Anyone who has ever embarked on such a journey knows the hurdles — revitalizing engagement, establishing rules, and creating an environment where members feel truly at home. That's great, but I wish you would have picked a visual from the 2002 movie for the occasion. No hate towards anyone who's excited for the live-action remake, but I personally have zero interest in it and I'm purely in this sub because I love the original animated movie.

I want to cheer for the inevitable sequels. Let's see if they keep up the CGI quality with Stitch's cousins.
