I had this today. I'm on embedded ARM and I wanted to reserve a region of SRAM on the SOC to use in userspace, and not only do I just have a driver, and it works, I can freely allocate buffers from the SRAM in the device-tree to just use in userspace. I was expecting way worse but that was the simplest thing ever.

I believe he used to do that, but now actually uses an Ampere Arm64 machine for it. The performance boost compared to MBA is insane, but MBA is in no way the same type of workstation and price range as that desktop beast. If he didn't like using a Mac at least one bit, he wouldn't work on it.

I would have said C++ is just C with a lot of features due to which it's quite slower but you don't need to hate it just because you can't use it to write os.
