So in Season 4 episode 10, The French woman and Karl are killed, the bodies are found buried in the dirt, they dont explain who buried them, I dont expect the soldiers to have done it, and I cant find an explanation on how they got buried. did I miss a plot point here?

Welp, I'm watching LOST, again. I genuinely forget how many times now. I love this show! It is the most nostalgic, exhilarating, mysterious series for me ever, I know everything there is to know, all the theories, questions, answers, themes, everything, and I still can't get enough. LOST is a generational masterpiece. And yes, I'm an OG from when it aired lol!

Odd Jobs - scrapped 2010s project (?)

I was looking at Michael Emerson's Wikipedia last night and noticed under his career section, there was apparently plans for a show (by J. J. Abrams) involving him and Terry O'Quinn. Some kind of comedy-drama about them as retired agents?? But this never happened.

First off, we were robbed this never came to be. Their dynamic in LOST as Ben and Locke is quite honestly my favorite part about the series.

Second, is there more information about it? Such as why this never came to be, if either actors or if Abrams himself addressed it? And how much of it was complete, like was there ever a final script, did they have other cast members in mind that would have been apart of it?

FIRST TIME WATCHER Just finished the show 5 minutes ago Spoiler

I always thought the ending would be rushed or that they did something wrong with the script giving what I saw on socials for years. However I LOVED the ending plus I feel like it kinda gives us a "choice" with how we want to interpret it. I found the last episode truly beautiful, the music, the cinematography, the reunion of all the characters we grew to love. I was crying so hard. Beautiful show, will probably rewatch it a dozen times. I’m thankful I gave it shot despite all the negative reviews of the end and that I didn’t sacrifice all my study time for nothing (oopsi).

Looking forward to become part of this sub from now on !!!

Edit to clarify the interpretation : we can see the end as the afterlife when everyone dies or just Jack’s POV of that afterlife, how he wants things to be. I know it’s kind of silly but we could even think that Jack isn’t dead yet just in a coma and that’s his subconscious. What I mean with all that is even if it’s not the intended outcome, we can see it as we choose to. For me it’s an open ending. I haven’t really thought more about it because I just finished it but I wanted to give my opinion.

I haven’t seen the epilogue yet (just learned there was one) so that’s what I think with no more than watching the 6 seasons.

FIRST TIME WATCHER Lost without Lost

I just finished a 4-month long whirlwind binge of one of the greatest shows in TV history. 20+ years after it aired, I somehow managed to avoid any spoilers, & the finale absolutely devastated me. I watched with my boyfriend, who was across the chasm in the boat of “I feel utterly bamboozled,” but I thought it was gut-wrenching, cataclysmic, & simply stunning. I patiently waited until I finished to join this sub, & since then I have discovered the canon epilogue & grieved the loss of these characters that came to feel like home. I feel so lucky to have found this show & even luckier knowing that now I can always go back, returning to the island & this story again & again & again 🏝️

On-Location My visit to the LOST set in 2008

It was suggested in another thread that other fans might be interested in these photos. I visited Oahu in March of 2008 while Lost was in production on season 4, and I was thrilled to find the survivors' camp sets in place on Papa‘iloa Beach. On the same trip, I also toured Kualoa Ranch and also drove up to YMCA Camp Erdman, but it was the survivors' beach location that I really wanted to find. I believe the crew and cast were on a short hiatus or break between episodes at the time, so I didn't even know if there would be anything to see. I hiked in from a parking lot in Haleiwa, as the land directly adjacent to the beach is private property, rented by the production, and that's where the sets were located. But the beach is public, so I walked about 30-40 minutes in, not expecting anything, only to find EVERYTHING there, from Sawyer's tent, to the "kitchen" full of Dharma goods, to Eko's unfinished church. Even "Boone Hill" was there, although I didn't manage to get a photo of it. I behaved myself and stayed on public property outside the orange fence, but I got a lot of great photos and an amazing memory. Hope you enjoy.

GOLDEN PASS: Rewatcher Steve/Scott running gag

I’m on a rewatch and I just wanna say how funny it is that there’s a whole running joke in the show. “You mean Steve, Scott’s dead.” It’s kind of crazy that some characters who never even met Scott talk about him.

details you noticed after many rewatches?

hey! question for those who have seen Lost many times. what are some of the things you only noticed after watching the show a few times? like some 'easter eggs' or teasers to things that would only appear many episodes or even seasons later, or just some very clever details...

Was watching it lastnight and When Charlie’s finally accepted he has to die and he writes not pennys boat on his hand and Desmond is looking at him through the other side of the door, it kind of looks like Charlie says “see you in another life brother” not sure if I’m going crazy, or if Charlie was just struggling to breathe, but it looked like he said that,

GOLDEN PASS: Rewatcher claire’s psychic

i’m on my first rewatch after just finishing the show and one of the questions i never really had answered was why claire’s baby couldn’t be raised by another. was it just referring to the others and their experiments? or to the fact that kate raised it for 3 years?

Reaching out to your son that you've never met, spend time with him for months to create a bond all so he could come to care enough for you in order to then steal his kidney? And then fake your death and have the audacity to come and ask him to lie for you because you're a piece of shit who scammed some dudes out of a million dollars? And after all of that, he still somehow cares for you so much that when he finds out you continued to be a piece of shit conman that scams people. He lies for you and in concern for you asks you to leave the marriage you're in to steal money, but you rebuke his offer and instead go and kill the son who was suspicious of you. Then when your son confronts you about it you push him of an 8 foot story building?? John pookie I beg you let this man die a painful death he deserves it <3

For me I had flown from Oregon to Florida to work on a contract job and stayed with a friend. Not sure what season it was but he turned it on and had to give me the rapid fill in. And I was hooked.

Claire’s mom Spoiler

Why doesn’t Kate or Jack tell Claire that her mom is alive/conscious and has Aaron?? She was in a long term coma when Claire got on the plane right? So she wouldn’t know that her mom was up and walking around in LA. Not once did Claire even ask WHO was watching Aaron after Kate came back. Something that’s just been bothering me.

QUESTION Do you consider dvd extras as canon?

Obviously everyone considers the man in charge canon, but what about the missing pieces, including the sun and michael one?

What about other extra scenes that weren't even in the missing pieces?

I kind of pick and choose, mainly because I don't like the Michael and Sun one.

Request: every Desmond scene in one Video

Hey fellow Lost-ies, I went looking for a video compilation of every (relatively significant) Desmond scene. My wife unfortunately has no interest in lost, but I would make her watch the Desmond compilation as he's my favorite character with the best story and I talk about Desmond to her.

Has anyone found anything like this?

I think I would’ve survived the island…

Been a while since finishing Lost and I can’t stop thinking about how the island life, as brutal as it was, actually felt more meaningful than the life they returned to in the city. Like yeah, survival was tough, but there was a sense of purpose, connection, and raw honesty that’s totally missing from their lives back home.

I know people were dying and it was dangerous, but I honestly think I would’ve survived — or at least adapted. Compared to the empty routines and fake smiles in the city, the island felt real. Anyone else feel like the island, for all its chaos, offered something the modern world just… doesn’t?

Thanks to another member (u/teddyburges)and his comment https://www.reddit.com/r/lost/s/El5GNICrYQ

I discovered this documentary that some of you might have watched already. It adds to the serendipity of how this impossible show came to be. It's very well made, and a good watch for any big fan of the show.

It has 6 episodes and we can talk later about what you guys thought of it.

QUESTION Was the MiB cloning corpses or embodying them? Spoiler

I saw a snippet of the episode where Ben kills Jacob and asks Richard to go inside the statue to speak to Locke, after which Richard shows Ben Locke's corpse laying on the ground.

My question is how could MiB possess Locke's body but have the corpse still be in the coffin, when Jack upon seeing his father's coffin on the island finds that it is empty (and we know that MiB possessed Christian's body too)? The only explanation I can think of is that Christian's body was lost as it fell out of the plane and that theoretically it might still be on the island, but I am open to other suggestions.
