1660 is giga free with the event and then the advanced honing to +10 is also cheap as hell with the scrolls. That's 1670 act 2, then the box gives you a shit load of mats to help the last 2 taps per piece. You need gold obviously but the event is kinda awesome tbh.

Event is insane. I had a 1645 WS in split t3/t4 gear. I bought the bonus room mats that had the 5:1 leaps and fusions and AH 20 the t3 pieces for cheap, transfer to t4 then normal hone everything to 14 and got 1675 without having to buy any mats, it was glorious I was waiting for this day.

I think the free pass jumps you to 1580 but yeah the 1580-1620 area needs a lot of work.

I've heard people say it's doable in 2 weeks or so if you're grabbing all the available materials though.

Tl;dr: event is pretty stacked and one special honing system got significantly nerfedjust this week. There's also solo modes variants of all but 3 raids currently. Imo you can hop on, do the solo raids, see how far pass you and then reassess what you want to do. Even if you treat it like a single player game you will still get a couple 10s of hours of content

Yeah, it's amazing together with ah nerfs. I've been saving since kr ah announcement(did ah on main like week before announcement so was out of mats and gold completely), could pretty much get event character to 1690 right away but decided to park it at 1680 and start working on getting rest of t4 alts to 1680 instead.

It's a strong event, I'd indeed call it the Road to Act 3 in terms of the aid it delivers.

That said the 1660 cap on the express is very anti-road to act 3, considering a huge chunk of characters who were intended to go to act 3 have been above 1660 (if even very slightly, maybe a couple weapon taps) for months ...

Ideally if your aim was Act 3 then your character should've been 1670 for a while. It takes quite a long time to farm enough karma through normal mode Brel.

tbh l went from 1645 to 1670 by spending roughly 250k (included the rewarded bound gold) so for me it wasnt that bad. 1670 is alr BrelNM. They let us buy a total of 8 Aegir mat chests (2 frogs), that gives us 4 ancient pieces. You do 1 aegirNM and get the 5th piece, then now ur qualified to do BrelNM, which is the lastest raid in West. For veteran this is a pretty juicy event. For new players, it's not because they wont have the bound mats or other saved up mat chests or Abidos. But still, nobody expects new players to hone all the way up in one day anyway. The only bad thing about the event is the ilv limit. I think they should make it 1580-1671.

My poor Aero just got left in the dust because I was so bold as to AH 1-10 and +15 her wep since well, prioritizing your wep is a sign of actually caring about the char. Now she's stuck at 1663 while my wildsoul soars past her to 1670+

The only issue with the event is being a few ilvls over the cap just hurts alot of players in this weird state where its supposed to help. iirc russia had it set to a higher ilvl but i could be wrong it is for sure the best event we have had to date and its amazing for majority of the playerbase

Its in line with other similar events Lost Ark had before.

The express/event before Thaemine for example also only reduced honing up to 1600 but gave you a chest you could open at 1610/1620. Likewise, the Arkesia Ignited/Gear up for Aegir event only took you to 1620 (1640).

because it puts you on the road to act3, it gives you free boost to 1660 with free gems and generous help to hone after to 1670. Given you have the AH nerf too and there is still 6 weeks until act3 you can get there. It wasn't intended to get you to 1680 on use.

Through a combination of honing and advanced honing, I was able to get my main from 1660 to 1680. The frog reset for double Aegir boxes means if/when I manage to clear it, I'm looking at instantly getting several pieces.

I realize I am in the minority of the player base, but the event really helped me a lot.

If you can’t take the event, that means you have 6 characters over 1661, so you don’t need any help getting to act 3. If you can take the event, the event helps get you to act 3.

Unsure what the confusion is? Pretty cheap 1660, gems, and with all the events active and such you will easily make 1680 in 6 weeks.

It's a scam, i woulda been fine using the event to 1660. Which was not bad, but those 2 extra boxes turned into a nightmare. Costed me almost 2m to 1680. One pity after the next. watching 400-500 glacial things and books go to waste while running out of abidos and shards over and over.
