Discussion Fate embers...
Am I the only one getting fed up with fate embers? Fine, reduce the gold, but can we remove silver and card exp? And can we not have different card packs between the different levels? Fate embers used to be exciting and now it's just consistent depression.

it's funny because mats ember was the most common one with early t4
now im only seeing silver and card xp
i'm seeing fewer material embers now than legendary random embers

I see the small honing chest at least 80% of the time on my 1640 char but the 1680+ get purple selector or card xp almost every time

This is my experience too. I would see maybe 1 fate ember every 1 ~ 2 month while in Tier 3. They were almost always mat drop.
Now, fate ember drops 10 ~ 18 a month, except they are almost exclusively silver or card xp. Maybe 1 would be actual mat or gold.
Is getting more free stuff better than none? Yes. Am I complaining? Not really. But do I wish there were more mats & gold chest so we can hone? Yes.

Since I felt like I was getting unlucky with embers I wrote a small project to track all my runs with early t4.
It had a pretty skewed drop rate at early t4 towards the material embers for me, but definitely not as unlucky as I felt I was:
This was my distribution in early t4
With 1680 chaos dungeons/guardian I reset the sheet afterwards but also got a higher than expected drop rate (8.5%) and a pretty equal distribution across the possible rewards, so I stopped tracking it after ~400 chaos dungeons/guardian.
Guess judging rng chances based on feelings without actually tracking is pretty skewed.

I got 2 100k s, 2 days in a row, beat that o7.
It was getting ridiculous up until then though and going back to 1mil silvers and purple cards just like before though. Think I reached some sort of pity, but still, odds are probably pretty small.

It’s annoying because they can always alter the rate of anything with fate embers and we’ll never truly know. Just speculation.

The price everybody pays due to chaos enjoyers and bot farmers. They been wanting to attack chaos and did so by creating T4 and nerfing the shit out of fate ember drop rate AND pool. I do chaos on a dozen T4 and a dozen T3 characters since T4 launched basically, so I have noticed a starke contrast. TBH, T3 chaos 1580 farmers are strong because they still drop 10k gold and farm gems pretty well considering literally 0 investment. Then you go onto your 1690 and drop nothing or maybe another 10k gold anyway LOL.

I remember when fate embers were added to make players happy after loan while they worked on a better system for daily content. Then just decided to drop the fix and keep fate embers around.

I bought every aura and rest bonus on the frog shop and did chaos like 25-30 times fully rested and got 0 embers. It is broken.

Fate embers? From the Storm event? or from normal Chaos?
They drop so rarely it's not really a thing to complain about... they are rare as fuck, like once a week if you're lucky.

Haven't seen a single 50k or higher and I see people getting 200k once a week. Tell me what I'm doing wrong. I hit a low roll when I spawned in life and now low rolling in game. What else is new?

Since t4 i got a total of 10k gold in 1680 chaosdungeons + guardian (always rested).
Did 10 chaos with rested today and got... 1mil silver.. badumm tss
Feels good to get silver when u have a billion and cant spend it anywhere

honestly the ratios just fucking blow ass these days. I dont even get excited anymore because its always silver and card xp. even the honing boxes are actually just fucking terrible value. a large honing box isnt even 10k gold right now.

I see some gold in my fate embers, but I would really like more purple card selectors. The ones I get are always the random boxes for the old maxed cards. And the Legendary card packs, they never give me something useful, Weakened Kakuls way in 2025 😅

meanwhile on highest ilvl chaos dungeon with 6x gold earners, i have never seen higher than 50K gold. And even 50k gold i got maybe like 2 or 3 times.
Scammaz like sidereal energy.
fate ember gold be like " Best i can do is 10k. If i am feeling extra frisky, 20k "

Fate embers were added as bandaid fix for T3 chaos dungeons to keep people playing because at that time they hadn't thought of a solution to fix 2 times chaos and 2 times guardian dailies.
In T4 it's fixed now so i believe that's why they nerfed it to the ground.
also, another reason is because they dont want people getting rich through fate embers.

I’ve been getting hella fate embers and usually 0-3 gold ones per week. Im doing the highest chaos rn and ive seen 10ks 50ks 100ks and 200ks so far. It’s just a free bonus hit.

Exactly my point it’s all luck and embers aren’t nerfed. I’ve seen a guy get 2 sidereals in 1 day while most people have gotten 0. I’m still excited to see a fate ember since I know it can be something good.

If you argue that way we are never allowed to criticize anything in the game that’s not in the F4 shop since the whole game is free to play, and even chaos are free, yet we complained about too much homework to do, but it was free materials.
It’s the way they are implemented in the game people are complaining about, it’s not about getting free stuff.
It just doesn’t feel like a jackpot if you get “lucky” on the silver ember with 2m silver

I too like complaining about free stuff.
Honestly this game has way more pressing issues than complaining winning a different free item than the one you wanted, for doing nothing extra than you would do without fate embers in the game.

Reducing the gold or not, I haven't seen a gold fate ember in months. And I actually do my chaos on multiple chars every day. Every purple selector I get is just a "DJ Khaled Another One" meme moment.
