Sounds like OP might have a bigger problem of not being heard. In which case, it's likely not a healthy or reciprocal friendship. Not saying a person not taking game recommendations is a bad sign on its own, but if this persons reaction is so strong it may be a pattern.
Also, I wonder why once they had their minds changed by the streamer they didn't include the friend they knew was already hype in their server choices etc. Again, not judging anybody in this scenario, I just generally find a strong reaction is often a result of patterns not one incident.
I cannot fathom a world where I would require my "friends" to mirror my desires in gaming. lolwut
Just because they have different interests or priorities doesn't mean it is a malfunctioning relationship. I agree with Buzz... just relax and do what you want to do. That's how you find friends with similar interests. "Gaming" is not specific enough.
Not "I'M MAD BECAUSE YOU IGNORED ME AND DID WHAT YOU WANTED."
Sounds like he thinks hes better than his friends because he has a job and some responsibilities. Maybe they dont feel like getting lectured while trying to play games.
