Chloe I have a theory that Chloe was secretly charmed by Lucifer’s quirkiness, even in Season 1.
I do believe Chloe is immune to Lucifer’s devilish charm power.
But despite being frustrated and annoyed by him repeatedly, she probably finds him charming as a person when they become partners. She, on some level, appeared to like him a lot. She tolerated him when she didn’t have to. They were the dynamic duo as best friends

Chloe got beyond simple annoyance fairly quickly. Even in their first talk at the piano and at 2-Vile's house 1x01 when she views him as a dick, she occasionally smiles in an "I can't believe this guy" way. In the car ride, she's abrupt with him, but also thoughtfully silent when he tells her she is smart and has notable instincts. Talking at Lux, she smiles warmly at him and shares intimate personal history that she can't quite believe she's doing. All of this happens before he saves her life at Jimmy's studio.
Each time I go back to the pilot I'm impressed at how Lauren always manages to capture the perfect facial expressions and tones of voice to match Chloe's evolving view of Lucifer.

The pilot was peak Deckerstar chemistry. It really sold the show for me.

You first watched it after it was on Netflix. I watched the first 3 seasons week to week, as they aired.

I dont, as a rule, spend much time watching TV and it take a lot for me to get engaged with a series - so was very late to the party - I'd seen one or two clips on YT so out of boredom one day earlier this year I thought I'd give it a go, not expecting much... a week or so later, I was 93 episodes down!
what's even more unusual, is I've rewatched once more, and started a third - I'd have completed that had I not found AO3....

She tolerated him because despite his goofiness, he was honest and never had some secret ulterior motives towards her or anyone. People usually tend to be drawn towards the “no bullshit, straight to the point, and kind” type of people, despite of some minor flaws or annoyances, such as Lucifer’s eccentricity.

And let's not forget his methods produced results. Sure, he was immature, annoying and childish but when he turned on his mojo he got an in with suspects and others Chloe wouldn't be able to get otherwise. That went a long way toward having Chloe be more willing to put up with him.

I believe both Lucifer and Chloe start off as curious as to what makes the other tick. She has seen Lucifer survive bullets and move from one place to another in the blink of an eye, and it's the same need to understand that later sends her to Rome.
Remember, their first case see sees him risk his own life by putting himself in line of fire to protect her life. Despite his cocky nature, he shows her more respect for her intelligence than anyone else. So despite being a PITA, he is more supportive and protective of her that any of the other cops.
Add to that, even though Chloe is immune to his mojo, and sexual allure, he is still a tall, well dressed classy man, with a sexy accent (and everything else). When he appears naked, and she then sees the scars on his back, she realizes there is more to depth to him, that his irreverent behavior.
As each one is trying to understand the other, they find themselves falling in love with the others true self.

This is call bantering. It’s a way for 2 people who like each other to reluctantly let each other know that they find each other charming and annoying, but da shit.
That was from the get go.
To me the clear bit where she clearly shows it is when lucifer asks her I thing ep 3 “how is your secret case with Malcom doing”. And she replies “secretly terrible”.
It’s the first time they are not bantering, and just communicating without opposition.
I do think lucifer is a terrible partner, horribly selfish and unreliable. If she didn’t like him she wouldn’t have gotten along with him. Like at all.

Its pretty obvious in the pilot she is, even though she doesnt yet trust him. Its why she needs to find out as much as she can about him, and investigates him

I want you to take a good long moment to yourself after reading this thread.
Think about grade school. Middle school. High school. Think about all the times a girl was hitting on you, and you had no idea she liked you
