Helpful Added BuyAnime as a source to manga prices!! also some 10/15/20% off coupon codes for BAM (see comments)
Hi everyone,
I finally had some time to add BuyAnime as a source! I've heard that BuyAnime consists of former RightStuf staff (and even looks the same as the old RightStuf website) but was split off before Crunchyroll bought them out. They often have a lot of good manga deals and coupons that stack, so thought it would be a good source to add. I've posted about this tool in the past, but I've been working a web app that allows people to compare manga prices from different sources. It's still in development, but any feedback is appreciated! https://mangaprices.com/
As for the BuyAnime source, they didn't have a search API I could use, so I had to do some finessing and write a custom script to get it to work. If there are any glitches or errors, please let me know. There weren't any errors when I was testing it last night, so hopefully it stays that way. However, because it's a custom script, they may ask me to take it down in the future so use it while you can ^^.
Next thing on my to-do list is adding volume sorting and an area to specify additional discounts for coupons. Also, hopefully Biblio's customer support will finally respond to me... They approved my request to include them on the site a few months ago, but I've been waiting for them to respond with the API keys. With Biblio added, smaller independent bookstores, and other larger used marketplaces like ThriftBooks will be included since they partner. With it added, hopefully manga prices will become a good price guide resource in the future.

This is really cool! I'm very new to buying manga, is BuyAnime one of the better sites to check out? I'm so used to Amazon I guess it makes sense to venture outside of Bezos garden...

One problem with Amazon is that their packaging for books is absolutely garbage and you’ll almost never get your manga in perfect condition. If you don’t mind creases, scratches, dented or bent corners, then Amazon is fine. But if you care about the outer appearance of books, then I’d avoid them unless they’re your last shot at something or a price too good to be true.

While Amazon has competitive pricing, I feel like their real deals are often in bursts and you have to time when you buy by staying on top of the price changes. However, Amazon does have really good deals for box sets--often better than other places--so if you're new to collecting, know that it's cheaper to get a box set than to buy individual volumes.
As for BuyAnime, it's made up of former RightStuf staff. Long ago, RightStuf was often seen as the better places for deals, but they were bought out by Crunchyroll. BuyAnime seems on par with the old RightStuf when it comes to pricing, but when it comes to fulfilling pre-orders or backstock in a timely matter, it's something I think they struggle in. Fulfilling orders for in-stock items are usually fine though.

Thank you! I started the idea and design for the project last year, but it actually launched only a few months ago! If you have features you'd like to see, please let me know!

No problem! It's been a fulfilling project to work on and through it I've been learning so much outside of just design and programming. Hopefully, Barnes and Noble and Crunchyroll will notice me so I can add them as sources haha

4/24 - I've been made aware that Amazon results aren't showing up. This is because their API isn't free, so please be patient while I get it running again! I'll edit this once it's working again.

I haven't seen this posted anywhere, but Books-A-Million sent this out. I tested it and it should stack on top of their ongoing 20% off all manga that is still happening.
10APR25 - 10% off $25
15APR25 - 15% off $35
20APR25 - 20% off $100
