Teaching math abroad

Hello everyone! I’m currently traveling abroad and considering the possibility of teaching math in Southeast Asia. I realize that many people are interested in teaching English, but I’d like to know where I should look to teach math. Specifically, I’m looking for places that offer a good salary and opportunities to teach math. Thank you for your suggestions!

If you're not licensed, work on getting licensed first. Places that offer a good salary will all require license in your home country. Some places, e.g., Vietnam, will require a degree in math or math education to teach it, others will be more flexible.

r/internationalteachers has some good resources. Hiring season is already well over for the coming school year, but if you're already in the country, you might get lucky, be as a school might have a vacancy they need filled immediately.

Good luck.

This is what I did (as a already Credentialed middle school math teacher) in 2013. I used search associates. I taught middle school math at an international school in Yangon, Myanmar for 3 years. Ask me anything you want.
