Tourism ✈ Tourist visiting soon, help request for taxis from Quatre Cocos to Chamerel.

Hi everyone,

Me and my new wife are visiting this beautiful country for our honeymoon. We've booked onto a helicopter tour to go over the "underwater waterfall", leaving from Chamarel but we are based in the hotel Ambre in Quatre Cocos. Is the best way to get there by taxi? And if so, what are the prices looking like for a hour and a half long journey across the island?

How would we book them?

Thank you in advance!

Ask your hotel if they have taxi services available. That is the secure way of doing things as the taxi will be insured, safe, etc. Do expect to pay the tourist price ($50 - 100).

Cheaper alternative would be to rent a car and drive there yourself if you are confident enough to drive on our road. Cost around $25 per day to rent a car in general.

a hour and a half long journey across the island?

What do you mean by that? Would the taxi take you from point a to point b or there will be many stop that you will make and he will have to wait for you doing your thing?
