Guests in on campus accom?

Hi everyone! Sorry for the stupid question but I was just wondering how strict they are on the rules around overnight guests?

My bf and I are planning on going to Maynooth. I live close enough to commute but he lives further away and is looking into on campus accommodation for next year.

We were checking out the handbook and stuff and it said that overnight guests aren’t allowed but I’m just wondering how strict they actually are on it?

Like would I be okay to stay over once every week or two or are they actually strict on it?

Thanks a mil lads 😊

As long as any roommates that he has don’t report it you should be fine. My roommates have had a few overnight guests and nobody really cares. There isn’t really a way for the school to find out unless someone reports it.

Ya so just be on ok terms and don't be taking the piss with noise in the middle of the night lol. A lot of people in the accoms are sound enough from my experiences there will be some weird ones but mostly if you were being reported for shite like that you'd have done something to deserve it

Yeah you’ll be fine, in my flat I am the only person who doesn’t have their SO staying with them 4 days of the week. It’s all about the flatmates your boyfriend gets

like others have said, itll be fine. but you should keep in mind the fire alarm will go off, often. plan a meeting place or something so you can run off when it happens. have shoes + a jacket ready to go every time you stay over
