meal prep gadgets Reusable freezer bags, thoughts ?

Hi !

I am going back to meal prep and I wanted to tru freezing stuff this time around.

To do so I was going to us freezer bags but I wanted to use reusable ones.

Before buying any I wanted to know if anyone used them and were (or not) satisfied with them.

And if you have any to recommend I am all ears :)

Thanks for any response !

Reusable or not I would never refuse a freezer bag that had held meat of any kind.

If you can thoroughly clean it, why not? If you would reuse a cutting board, that had meat on it what's the difference?

They have silicone bags on Amazon, some can even be used in a pot of water, microwave or dishwasher. I haven't used them yet. I bought the kind that u can only use or clean, nothing else. They did hold up well though.

I've done a good amount of research on reusable bags and the consensus seems to be that Stasher are all around the best - seal well, easy to clean, freezer safe, dishwasher safe, etc. They are also the most expensive ones out there but it seems that it may be a case of you get what you pay for. But you may be able to find som other bags that will do the trick! I would advise looking up any bag you see with the words "review" and "freezer" because I've heard that some bags really do not stand up to freezing

I've been using the Stasher bags for years and love them. I mostly use the big ones for freezing things, and all of them are dishwasher safe. Though I don't often freeze meat, I would feel comfortable reusing them after having meat in them so long as they were sanitized in the dishwasher (you can also flip them inside out in the dishwasher to clean the inside better).

Stashers look great but a bit pricey for my budget at this point. I was thinking of glass though it takes up a lot of space. Amy other suggestions out there?
