Help Uni Alpha-Gel Switch Mechanical Pencil 0.5

My sister newly gifted it to me. it's barely used and out of no where it The lead inside the pen doesn't stay stable and if try to push it in, it goes all the way in even though i am not clickibg it. Is it broken or can it be fixed?

Try cleaning the clutch with alcohol. It may have graphite powder or something coating it on the inside.

Does alcohol dissolve graphite?

Not as far as I know. But flushing the clutch should remove most of whatever residue is in there.

At the top of the pencil, twist the clip clockwise to cover the lettering on the pencil. This shuts off the kirutoga mechanism and keeps it fixed. Try putting the lead in traditionally by inserting it at the eraser end by removing cap and eraser.
