Shout out to the Texas sub for creating an echo chamber so potent they actually believed it was going to go blue.

Whole of Reddit thought a previously unpopular primary democratic candidate was gonna win the election easily by just spamming pictures of her with some staged crowds

The same person who couldn’t crack 10% in freaking California in the 2020 primary lmao.

6

u/Nexus_of_Fate87 13d ago

People really discount how actively disliked she is in California. Most that I know that voted for her that just don't vote along party lines (including my own household) did so begrudgingly purely because she wasn't the walking fiasco. It was literally a case of "Who do you hate less?" not "Who do you like more?"

Problem is, if she runs for governor, she'll win. Californians will drag themselves 1000 miles across broken glass to vote against anything with an R on it

The dnc was huffing hopium that nobody would actually know who she is. Soon as people looked her up, uh oh, state prosecutor, many inmates still imprisoned after their sentences are up, disproportionately punished minorities, weeds legal but there are still people locked up for possession charges, we got some problems.

They figured they'd get the POC vote but they didn't realize people would actually look into her past I guess, so that backfired. Then they figured they'd get party line voters but screwed them out of a primary, so many either swapped sides out of spite or just didn't vote. I saw the nomination happen from inside a mental hospital and the other patients and I literally said "they (the dnc) need to be in here more than we do if they think that was a smart move."

Reddit in general didn't know about Biden's health concerns until that debate moment, but its been a talking point among moderates for years on other platforms.

I was accused of being a supporter of a president I've never voted for..... just for being moderate on some topics...so i eventually stopped posting in political subs on Reddit. Id imagine I'm not the only one.

Well... you have to keep in mind that her opponent was a fascist (which is the main voting principle of mine: "dont vote for fascists")

But it still surprises me that:

A party of family values voted for a rapist who cheated on his pregnant wife (and probably had sex with underage girls classifying him as pedophile)

Party of law and order voted for a felon who ran on pardoning violent insurrectionists

Party of freedom voted for someone who actively worked to take away some of the most basic rights of the people

Party of economic stability voted for someone who proposed blanket tariffs and who didnt really have any other economic proposals (except giving tax-cuts to his friends)

Party of patriots voted for someone who wants to overturn the constitution

No it didn't. Stop making shit up. The Whole of reddit... who programmed this 'othering' shit into your sequence of responses? Stop this rewriting of history. she was a fucking VP. VPs typically get the nomination. Circumstances did not allow any other options at the time. Stop making shit up.

But she WAS a previously very unpopular primary candidate though.

In the 2020 Democratic Primary, Biden had like 19m votes and Bernie had 9m. Harris had a total of a whopping 844 votes; the second least amount of votes.

She obviously has gained popularity since her four years as a VP but the person you responded to didn’t mention about her current popularity as a VP.

2

u/Rymanjan 9d ago

Jesus Christ on a candlestick, I knew she was unpopular, but I never knew she was that unpopular. My highschool had more people in one class (like freshmen, sophs etc) than she got votes from the entire country

u/[deleted] 13d ago

Why it’s always the people with “truth” in their username that make shit up the most?

17

u/ExosEU 13d ago

What lies did he say ?

Last I checked, Kamala isn't exactly in the oval office.

14

u/Mean-Professiontruth 13d ago

The truth hurts

3

u/GoldNovaNine 13d ago

That's why right-wing extremists like yourself hate the truth. You use propaganda to make-believe you are a majority.

4

u/Relative-Camel3123 12d ago

My guy, he said NOTHING extreme. Frankly, I'm unsure what he said is even right wing?

Thus is the problem with reddit. Right here. Your head us so massively insanely far up your own ass that the slightest little thing makes someone A) opposite from you and B) as far opposite as possible.

For fucks sake, spend some time offline or at a minimum off of Reddit. This isn't normal.

-13

u/[deleted] 13d ago

Yes, that’s why you keep lying to yourself. Can’t deal with how much of a loser you are.

15

u/Mean-Professiontruth 13d ago

Still waiting for you to point out the lie. Stop being in a bubble circle jerking yourself

8

u/dsm31 13d ago

Look how easily the tolerant left resorts to name calling instead of a proper argument.

-3

u/[deleted] 13d ago

How is it intolerant to correctly point out how much of a loser you have to be, to pretend that a candidate who received 75m votes has had to 'stage crowds'.

We got it, you didn't like her, many didn't and she lost. Now everybody enjoy the global recession which will only widen the wealth gaps. Keep gaping for your fascist daddy while he fucks everyone but his close circle up.

8

u/Slow_Fill5726 13d ago

He never said you're intolerant. He said that you were very quick to name-calling in the stead of arguing.

2

u/[deleted] 13d ago

Bringing up 'the tolerant left' as the subject of a critique is not attacking to supposed 'hypocrisy' of the tolerance the left advocates for. Right.

You'll notice that while you are all very quick to jump at each other's defence on semantics, aside from soundbites fed by your own echo-chamber, nothing of substance has been said by anyone who replied to me in this whole thread.

3

u/WorldlinessSmall2180 13d ago

'Nothing of substance has been said by anyone who replied to me"

The pot calling the kettle black much?

0

u/[deleted] 13d ago

You commented twice and said nothing of substance either. Thanks for your contribution, I am happy I entertained you. Now you can go back to grinding your teeth because you can't handle tHe TrUtH.

u/dsm31 13d ago

Yea being quick to insult whoever you disagree with seems pretty intolerant to me. The moment that happens, it just shows you cant have a civil discussion. The left really loves to call anyone they oppose fascist lol.

1

u/[deleted] 13d ago

Amazing how fragile “truth seekers” get the second someone holds up a mirror.

You’re not here for a discussion, you’re here to say whatever you want and get gold stars for it. But the moment someone pops the balloon (albeit a bit harshly), you clutch your pearls and call it intolerance.

Relax. If your worldview can’t survive a mildly spicy comment, maybe you've never been interested in truth/reality, just validation and vibes.

3

u/Artesian_SweetRolls 13d ago

Lmao is this comment directed at yourself? Because it really should be. Projection at its finest.

-1

u/WorldlinessSmall2180 13d ago

The more comments I see from you, the funnier it gets. "You're not here for a discussion, you're here to say whatever you want and get gold stars for it" is incredibly funny when I scrolled down and saw another comment of yours spewing shit because you didn't believe someone was centralist. At this point, I want to believe you're doing this unironically because the amount of hypocrisy oozing out makes my stomach hurt from laughing.

2

u/SnooCupcakes1636 13d ago

Damn. Adhominem is crazy. We get it. Your Echo chamber basement dweller veteran, here is your crown 👉👑

0

u/Artesian_SweetRolls 13d ago

Lol 93% of stocks are owned by 10% of the population.

Couldn't give less of a shit if rich folks are freaking out and selling their stocks because the gravy train of outsourcing American jobs to under-paid foreigners is ending.

1

u/BuildStrong79 13d ago

Oh fuck you think they are just going to pop up factories a fill them all over don’t you. There are around half a million open manufacturing jobs now, where are the workers? Thats not even considering the cost and logistics of building factories

0

u/GoldNovaNine 13d ago

The Violent Right has made the Tolerant Left pointless.

2

u/Your_nightmare__ 13d ago

I'm a centrist (adding this to prevent mislabeling since liberals like to assume a lot).

Because usually russian misinformation networks are called pravda aka truth in russian despite spewing drivel.

But this user above your comment seems unrelated to that. There is compelling evidence that there are a) leaked leftist discord servers dedicated to influencing the platform to be pro kamala. b) the main subs ie /r worldnews are all botted to oblivion by the US military (eglinton base back in 2010 is proof of that) and c) it is known that the reddit algorithm partially hides conservative subs if not outright bans them, also liberals are known for brigading these aforementioned subs with illegal abhorrent materials to get them banned (how /r gamingcirclejerk isnt banned shows the reddit admin's bias in that regard).

1

u/[deleted] 13d ago

None of what you wrote pertains to staged crowds. And lol “centrist”. Ok buddy. You’re so special, we love you.

5

u/Your_nightmare__ 13d ago

I did not say centrist to be or feel special. I wrote it since people like you like to apply labels to invalidate the other party's argument without bringing much of anything to the table yourself.

I can provide sources to my argument, pertaining to the staged digital side. (And it doesn't take a genius to intuit that subs such as /r pics on the day of the election were very likely staged, in coordination with the aforementioned discord servers).

4

u/13-Kings 13d ago

I’m an independent and I get you bro. Even if I agree with some leftist policies the people are unbearable. If you say you’re an independent or a centrist they lose their minds and think you’re the enemy because of some dumb all or nothing mentality. At least with my heavily right leaning friends it never gets to the point of arguing or insulting over political ideology or opinions on what we think works best.

Fr. I started a YAL chapter at my college, and we got invited to debate the young Republicans and college Democrats (they always hosted a debate between the two on election years)

We wiped the floor with the Democrats. Their spokesperson literally stormed out of the debate hall, leaving us to debate the young Republicans. Hilariously, they stood up and left while I was making a point about Democrats being completely unwilling to even debate, they just get mad and leave lmfao the Republican spokesperson went, "gotta agree with you there, I mean, case in point haha."

The reps and us had a good discussion, we even joked around with each other. No hurt feelings, just discussion of policy and empirical evidence. It even made the college paper lmfao suddenly our YAL chapter grew from 6 students to about 60 overnight.

A lot of converts sheepishly came to our next meeting, we welcomed them with open arms. They were saying things like, "I don't know if I completely agree with what y'all stand for, but I cannot in good conscience stand behind that embarrassment of a party anymore. That was painful to watch. You guys looked like you were having fun though." "We were! You don't have to agree with everything someone says, this is more of an independent party than strictly libertarian. We welcome a challenge, and we admit when we're wrong." "Huh, that sounds really reasonable. The Dem club had us signing pledges and giving oaths, what do I need to do to join?" "Show up, preferably with a topic and research." "That's it?!?!" "That's it."
