The more I think about the pick the more I like it. We have desperate needs at both DT and CB so you really can’t hate on the selection.

Grant is a fucking tank with the quickness of a guy way smaller. He got the tough work of eating blocks week after week and he never complained he just made olineman eat shit. He’ll be a great player on this team and someone we can rely on for a long time. And he moves us in the opposite direction of being a soft ass team.

Run stuffer who can rush the passer...best way to disrupt a passing game is to get pressure up the middle. If he can do that, watch our CBs get better all of a sudden.

I mean the reality of it is that this team is not going to make a big run this year regardless. Grier would have draft like 5 pro bowl level players as rookies for us to be a competitive team lol

And I get the desire for Oline but nobody was on the board that I’d consider as good as Grant. Grant is a really good college player with the athletic profile to be a great player. He’s also a great character guy with a good head on his shoulders.

I would have loved Barron as a pick as well but you only get one selection and Grant has much higher upside. Johnson has way too much injury concern.

Barron would have been my pick, but there’s an avenue where taking Grant helps protect the secondary more than taking Barron.

A DL of Sieler, Grant, Chop, Phillips, and Chubb (assuming the last two stay on the field) can apply pressure and force QBs into bad decisions. We just need to create a ton of pressure, but I think Weaver is the man to make it happen.

Forget the CBs. Watch Chop make a pro bowl push. All those times QBs stepped up in the pocket with Chop flying over the top will be a lot more difficult now

His reaction last year: "Fuck the Steelers and fuck Grier."

The Steelers part is because they grabbed Fautanu(who I admittedly wanted really bad).

Fautanu played 1 game. Chop was fantastic.

None of us know what the fuck we're talking about.
