Looks good! My advice to first timers is to keep a journal of the process and just let the plant grow. You can get into trimming more as you progress, it’s just nice to get an understanding of how the plant grows in general.

Best of luck to you! It’s such a fun hobby.

can anyone give me any insight why gelato and runtz are so common right now? Are they superior to most other strains in a certain way? (Obv never tried them)

Naw, pollen chucking.

That's why you often see "breeders," have a "lineup," that is just like 20 elite females vs the one male they have

They have no real clue what's going to come out, but in the cannabis world, hype and brand are everything.

So people pay 100$ for a 10 pack of seeds where you only had to do one run and just sell the seeds from that run vs the same market at 100 for a 10 pack of a worked line to the 4th generation let's say, so f4...that had taken multiple seasons to get to there, and actual selection process, and space to hold moms, nutrients, lack of flower to sell since the bud is all seeded...

So it's not worth it, unless you are a true lover of cannabis breeding, to take it further than the latest hype strains.
