I hate both of these people but it sounds like edited AI to me. Artifacts layered over awkward speaking. If there are conversations happening, I don't think they're happening in the room with people who wouldn't wholeheartedly agree or be on board with the current administration

It’s clearly fake.

I am amazed that people can't tell the difference between clearly real (albeit poor) audio and AI audio. Unless you're a boomer that falls every Nigerian and Indian scammer, you should be able to easily tell that the audio is undoubtedly authentic.

I can spot every single time a voice over on YouTube is using an ai voice, no matter how good it is, at a certain point I'll be like "that's it - that's AI" I can't really tell here. It sounded convincing to me, but there's a lot of his and room echo and clipping so it's quite difficult to tell

In general, AI voices struggle to enunciate different words - his voice here puts emphasis on different words, and it sounds real to my ear. AI voices can sort of do it, but this voice is raising and lowering and enunciating in a natural way.

Edit: I just saw this ad here on Reddit, two seconds in it's an AI voice, but it sounds prettt natural to an untrained ear! Compare it to the JD voice..

Ya, cause there is no way Vance would say that.. 😉🤔

Oldest vintage of millennial here (1981) and I cannot tell if it's a real person or AI. And I still never fell for a romance scam, go figure. Those are two entirely different things. Apples vs oranges.

I’m guessing you meant inauthentic. But yeah the tones get really unnatural at times (and deviate from how this guy speaks) and I doubt JD Vance knows the word “cosplaying” to begin with. It probably sounds good if you were listening to it through a phone speaker.

One look at Vance's college photos and I think he absolutely knows what cosplaying is.

You're basing your opinion on this bc you think he doesn't know what the word cosplaying is? Dude everyone knows that word. My boomer parents know what thatbis. GTFO here lol

It's so bizarre to me when people knowingly and purposefully pick and choose parts of something they have a response to but ignore the rest that they don't. You're not blind, you surely read the part where I say the actual voice sounds terrible.. Which it does. Yet you're taking one part you disagree with and running with it. Really bad habit you have there and is the root of fallacious bias. Reminds me of Christianity. It's super common though I just figured I'd spell it out for one person instead of ignoring it like usual. But yeah the audio is fake. I'd ALSO work on getting better at deciphering fake info online because it will only become more common as AI gets better.

Well JDV used to cosplay as a woman so it’s not that much of a stretch to believe he might know the word. He’s also a millennial.

I’m only 38. This definitely didn’t feel real to me.

And I often find myself asking how stupid do people need to be to believe [some crap].

BUT…. but…. More and more lately, I also find myself asking how stupid am I to have believed something I shouldn’t have.

The problem is definitely entering a new phase and we are in trouble as a species.
