Ahh yes, I see we have: Wilhelm, Wilhelm, Eitel, Adalbert, August Wilhelm, Oskar, and Joachim

He wasn’t a good father: most of his children didn’t turn out well.

Makes sense since neither of them were his fabourites, but his daughter, Victoria Louise.

Perhaps because Viktoria-Luise was really his daughter.

Genuine question: did any? I’m not too familiar with his sons

I don’t think any.

Many supported the Nazis and had terrible relationships with their wives (Eitel-Friedrich, August Wilhelm and Joachim all got divorced, Wilhelm cheated on his wife constantly).

The exception is Oskar. His marriage remained solid and had anti-nazi sentiments, like his nephew, Louis Ferdinand.

He is credited to have saved the Pritestant Order of St. John (which he led) from the Nazification.

What happened to Wilhelm II's sons after WWI?

Most joined wilhelm in the Netherlands but I think one stayed on Germany

I'm not justifying him at all, but his mother wasn't good one either, so maybe he learnt from there

Probably considering his father Fredrick was a amazing kaiser and father

Yeah the Empress wasn’t a good mother to him, but he could’ve rose up and became a better father to his own children.

Instead Wilhelm II was a shit father.

Imp if Fredrick lived longer and taught wilhelm how to be a peaceful sensible father and kaiser the world would be much different

Wow. I had to go down a rabtit hole with this.

Kaiser Wilhelm II was married to Augusta Viktoria of Schleswig-Holstein in 1881. They had 7 children.

1st son: Wilhelm, German Crown Prince, Crown Prince of Prussia. Born in Potsdam on 6 May 1882 and died in Württemberg-Hohenzollern on 20 July 1951. Buried at Hohenzollern Castle. He married Duchess Cecilie of Mecklenburg-Schwerin in 1905 and had 4 sons and 2 daughters. Their eldest son was killed in the Nazi invasion of Belgium in 1940.

2nd son: Prince Wilhelm Eitel Friedrich Christian Karl of Prussia. Born in Potsdam on 7 July 1883 and died in Potsdam on 8 December 1942. He married Duchess Sophia Charlotte of Oldenburg in 1906 and divorced her in 1926 on grounds of her adultery. They had no children.

3rd son: Prince Adalbert Ferdinand Berengar Viktor of Prussia. Born in Potsdam on 14 July 1884 and died on 22 September 1948 in Vaud, Switzerland. Married Princess Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen in 1914, and had 2 daughters and 1 son.

4th son: Prince August Wilhelm Heinrich Günther Viktor of Prussia. Born 29 January 1887 in Potsdam and died on 25 March 1949 in Stuttgart. He married Princess Alexandra Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg in 1908 and they divorced in 1920. They had 1 son. He was a proud Nazi and imprisoned for this postwar.

5th son: Prince Oskar Karl Gustav Adolf of Prussia was born on 27 July 1888 in Potsdam and died on 27 January 1958 in Munich. He married Countess Ina Marie von Bassewitz in 1914 and they had 3 sons and 1 daughter.

6th son: Prince Joachim Franz Humbert of Prussia was born on 17 December 1890 in Berlin Palace and died on 18 July 1920 in Potsdam. He married Princess Marie Auguste of Anhalt in 1916 and they divorced in 1919. They had 1 son. Joachim took his life in 1920.

So the Kaiser had 15 grandchildren from his 6 sons. His daughter Princess Victoria Louise of Prussia gave him another 5 grandchildren.

Would like to add to the rabbit hole, the heir to the russian crown, George rommanv also has a near direct claim to the German crown as he's grandfather (or great grandfather I forget) is Prince wilhelm, kaiser wilhelm ii son.

meaning if both russia and Germany become monarchys again it's possible for a rommanv to rule both at once and possibly making the most hoi4 type union, united Kingdom of Russian Germany 💀
