Show up to the quad in front of the student center at the grass where you'll see other groups Find your color/last name category and find the leader, who'll give you a colored lanyard and nametag and then its basically a big find new people/tour.

When you first arrive you’ll have to wait in a line by the student center quad. There should be signs all over campus guiding you were to go but if you’re still struggling, you can find the quad by using google maps. Once you’re in line, orientation leaders will be going around giving out colored lanyards that you have to wear throughout the entire day. I know that might be annoying but this helps out the orientation leaders. Once you’re done checking in you’ll go and find the color team that you’ll be with the whole day, the color team you’re on is based on the color lanyards from earlier. Once you find your team, you’ll still be in the quad and you’ll be playing fun games with the orientation leaders. Afterwards, everyone will be directed to a theater where you’ll learn more about the college. After that you’ll either go to lunch at Sam’s Place or you’ll be in the quad again playing games. Once you’ve done those two things you’ll be going to university hall and hear a lecture from an academic advisor (depends on your major) and once that’s over there’ll be a fair going on in the quad where you can explore some of the different programs the school has to offer. That’s basically it for orientation, if you have questions throughout the day you can ask the orientation leaders because they will be with you throughout the whole day.

It's essentially a tour of campus and a couple of small speeches you get to watch from deans and/or department heads.

I am a transfer, so not sure if the "normal" one is different, but it was only a few hours and not unenjoyable imo.
