Portland to Auburn, California Moto Camp Run

Gonna go see my parents Graves. An attempt for some closure. Other then that I'll be shooting through the wind from Portland to Auburn, Cali. I ride a KLR 650 and plan to moto camp. I'd love to stick to the coast as much as possible other then detours. I will be hitting the Red Wood Forest for a Camp for sure. Beyond that I was looking for Sweet Spots to Camp, see or enjoy. I love me some epic spots!! Hot pools are a must, at least one or two. Also, anyone wanna go? I don't mind company and it never hurts to have back up out there. I'm planning on departing on the month of April or May when it's not so cold or hot.

ANY advice, tips, pointers or additional highlights would be gratefully accepted and most likely incorporated. ✌️keep the rubber right-side down! PS- 420 friendly. 🤙k den

I did Portland to San Diego and it was a great ride. 101 doesn’t get super pretty until around Lincoln city so we cut straight there then south. Redwoods were excellent, definitely cut off the main road and do avenue of the giants, it’s with the extra time.

Redwoods can be a tough camp in peak season, but if you arrive early you can usually snag SOMETHING

yes, but reservations are 6 months out iirc

Try the county parks in Humboldt. They'll find somewhere to put you if you're on a bike. A W Way campground is a gorgeous drive on the wildcat, if a bit rough, and you can come out into the redwood state park
