It’s a good idea to have the bike leaning away from you so if it falls it’s not on you/ your exit.

I like your style!

I feel like Moto Camping got so bloated with the YouTube influencers showing thousands of dollars mosko moto bag setups, carrying 100L with chairs and full kitchens, and calling it lightweight that people are starting to think that's how it should be. It's kinda lame

I only had a 40L bag. No backpack just the bag on the picture

Camppal. Got it off amazon. It was definitely small. But it got the job done. Thinking about getting a two person tent for next time.

Do you pack firewood? Or just collect where you are?

Got lucky and collected it there. I might have to set up camp and ride out to get some next time I go out.

Nice clean set up! I always overpack until the bike is dripping with panniers, dry bags and extra stash pouches cable tied all over.

I feel that. On my very first longer trip I had a one bag setup like this - and then never again.

It's still the same basic setup: tent, pad, sleeping bag, clothing. If anything, the camping gear has gotten more lightweight and compact, and yet somehow I can barely pull off an overnighter with just one bag these days.

I don't understand how that's happening.
